Ah, so we be going by the laws of equivalent exchange I see..

Glad Tomorrowland is getting the Tron/Shanghai aesthetic, as it works really nicely in a clean sense to me.

It could also run the risk of being bland and nondescript. We'll have to see how it all comes together.

I just can’t imagine a current TOMORROWLAND at Magic Kingdom that isn’t a SPACEPORT. :afraid:
To get rid of that rad nighttime lights is just like closing the Haunted Mansion. We can build the Future without forgetting the Past.

Speaks volumes on what the true DHS attendance has been.

It’s a shame we’ll never know the real attendance numbers.

Seems Joe @Joe has a pretty good handle on it coming from his sources. But yes, it would be interesting to see the 'real' numbers from Disney. The park's guest area footprint was always too small to support those TEA numbers.

If DHS has more visitors than any Universal Orlando Park in the next report, surely their credibility has to be shot to pieces.

Yeah, even with the very meh TSL county fair to give it a boost. I'm wondering if it's reaching the point of Star Wars overkill in the park. I'm a SW fan from the start, but I was kind of getting annoyed by somewhat mediocre SW stuff every time you turned around. I'm sure the GESWL will solve that since it appears so high quality, but this other SW stuff is looking really second rate after a couple of years too many it seems.

So... I spent a long weekend at WDW and yes the lower attendance was obvious to me. I hopped all 4 parks and had no trouble riding everything I wanted without too much difficulty (including all of TSL and Pandora). While the F&W was crowded on the weekend, mostly with locals, Monday was very light compared to prior years. I also took note of some of the cutbacks even at F&W where they didn't use the garden area near the refreshment port (put Caribbean in the main loop and shipped the craft beer over to the festival center to keep Odyssey closed. Also, seemed to have less merch. and no art presence in the festival center.

People have been saying how little traffic goes into that area. In my opinion attendance has nothing to do with it because if no ones goes there when there is heavy traffic then that doesn’t help. Also I don’t think this is a budget cut but a response to low sales.

A standard soda has gone from $3.29 to $3.99. I know this isn’t a budget cut but it’s just another way that Disney are shafting the public.

It's hard to notice food price changes throughout the park...The only one I realized that was happening was Butterbeer...Otherwise, it's all just sneaky sneaky

I noticed the ears going up in price when I was there from $25 to $28. I was in DHS and the price varied from shop to shop.

More prices but this time at Food and Wine with some items going up a dollar. This is just a shady thing to do half way through a festival. I'm seeing a lot of people commenting about expensive Disney was this year compared to previous trips, add all the budget cuts on top of it and people will be struggling to find a good reason to return.

Here’s what I believe are the top parks in orlando for attendance in 2017

  1. Magic Kingdom
  2. DAK (Lower than 15m)
  3. USF (Higher than 11m)
  4. IOA (Around 10m)
  5. Epcot
  6. DHS
