It's more than the right call. Chadwick's legacy with the character has long been cemented. I always felt off on the idea that a character so important to the series and that resonated so much with audiences couldn't be recast. We have had many different portrayals of Spider-Man, Superman, Batman - and the act of recasting hasn't diminished the impact of who came before.
I've trusted Coogler's instincts on how to handle the character up to this point, and this is the right call at the right time. T'Challa is simply too important of a hero to exist without, (only the case because of Chadwick's portrayal), and I'm excited to see what David brings to the role moving forward.
I feel like Feige has to know to just leave Ryan alone to cook, and we'll almost certainly have something really interesting to look forward to at the finish line. I'll be sat patiently waiting until then.
