The Jurassic World location was cool! AWIL and Insidious were awesome back there. I'm in agreement that it seems like maybe we are getting that instead of TWD space due to FanFest.

You kid, but not only would I be EXTREMELY down for this, I could see them doing something like it for the house (in the sense of it being a smackdown/VS house):

Imagine the story is these WWE horror icons duking it out for the HHN Championship, with each having their own section, and the ending being different each time with a different victor (the leader and/or most recognizable member) holding the belt. Icons Captured but WWE, if you will.

After watching Until Dawn, I would like this IP to come to HHN.

Allegedly, Terrifier commercial already filmed and announcement will come in May right before Epic Universe launches. (Source: Dish Upon A Bar)

Something interesting from a pic in the construction thread is the SS12 "birthplace of the Universal Monsters" giant poster on the elephant doors has stayed up...

9 houses sounds too good to be true, what location are we most likely gonna lose?

Most likely TWDA venue on the Upper Lot or SS15 on the Lower Lot due to FanFest

Its too early to know, but just a speculative guess

Don't know what you are smoking but that never really as a point of speculation.

Gonna defend Kevin when it comes to this--but I am gonna do so by comparing it to another IP that is being rumored with that of Five Nights At Freddy's.

Say if it was FNAF, if it was that of the film version from the 2023 outing--then they would be having the side walls done in a way that would be present at the edges of the building (And I know there are some who think FNAF are in H-Lot South, which, lol).

Assuming if Terrifier is in H-Lot and if it is the Funhouse, then so-far the openings match that of what is depicted from the film. Guests enter the house from the left side, while the right opening could be a section that could either be something guests can spot other guests from the outside from (like the Dead Exposure facade in a way); or--it is a opening for the sake of an Art The Clown actor to come out and interact with guests.

We saw them doing similar with Texas last year; and that worked in a similar way (but on the right side being the guest entrance point in comparison).

As for what venue is actually being lost--the way the wood is being set up in SS12; I actually think it is that venue being the one lost instead of SS15 or UBE.

From what it seems--they are currently installing a large circular wooden platform within SS12.

EDIT: If a post is made by the time I am doing this--then it will be a separate post but I figured it's worth stating for the obvious. SS15 is typically one of the later venues that begins construction for HHN--typically around that of Late June/Early July. Assuming they are expedient; SS15 should be stricken down in a quick and easy fashion within the Late May/Early June period.

That should give them plenty of time for the sake of DND's strike down so they can then prepare the venue for that of HHN's purpose (Murdy has also spoken that a portion of the queue will go into SS15 as it typically has [against my desire]

While I think UBE might be the more complicated of the sort--especially in part because they had the sets from Picard in and that it might be a small complication; I doubt it's going to cause them to fuss and worry about things in a way that causes them to reconsider location.

As it stands right now for SS12--the good side is that the major construction for Hollywood Drift's ride track and supports are now done. The exclusion of that being that of the half pipe shields and how they will block out sound. The NBCUniversal Creative Campus is also complete--meaning it should be easier now for studios to work around the area without concerns of that being a factor. They also have two sets of elephant doors for that stage, so assuming if say; Jurassic Overflow uses a portion of the area outside of SS12 for queue flow; it won't be as if the world will shatter and all civilization will fall to collapse.

Personally speaking--I think SS12 is just gone because of the fact that studios can use it again. Might this be a question in 2026, depending on how sound is muffled and blocked with the half pipe tunnels, and if it helps (or deters) the studios around Universal from using that stage? Probably. But I think for intents and purposes, SS12 is out of the event's hands now and we got SS12 due to a series of chance circumstances last year.

If SS 12 is out, then it makes sense to have the JW tent up.

I actually hope we don’t lose the UBE this year because we need as many indoor venues as we can get!

Logically I just don't see the sense in UBE being lost. Quick strike-downs have been present with HHN often, plus side is that USH won't have to worry about striking down the equivalence of a whole *fleet* of walkthroughs.

All I know is we're in dire need of an announcement already. This is why I wish NON-IP locked in with zero chance of changes houses (or SZ) could just get announced to start the hype train. Only because IPs are always so unpredictable

Mentioned this on the UOR side--but I imagine for UDX, they want all of the focus for the company ahead of May 21st, is on Epic and Epic solely.

Honestly, might be a good time right now to quietly announce Mega Movie Summer, especially as FFN Year 1 ends in a few weeks. Once Epic winds down from the opening high, hitting the ground running and rapid-firing all of the announcements (intermixed with Horror Unleashed tidbits) feels like a good strat.

After being in the speculation game for 16 years, going to the event for that long, and having other things to worry about in life, I’m at the point to where I shrug my shoulder at announcement dates. It’ll happen when it happens. Besides, we just have to get through the summer (which is approaching fast) and HHN will be here!!

I know we've only had weekend one of FanFest, but yea.. they really should announce the summer event now since they've had JAWS & Jurassic specific auditions for it.

Can we get a Quint being eaten by JAWS photo-op, but keep it for HHN?

As for HHN... I just want another damn preview shirt to wear to auditions lol (still haven't gotten that notification yet).

So i see rumors of 9 hours

If they did that would they also let more people? Mainly I'm asking because if they have the normal cap on people and another house that could help with crowds

Also someone mentioned this in the Fan Fest thread but I hope they see how Meet and greets can soak up people and I always see Norman with a long line so I really hope they are looking at that as well as a cheap way to spread crowds out They could do a Mummy meet and greet or even the normal monsters to give people something else to do during the event and help with house lines.

Yea. As I said before, 1st & last time we did, it was at the expense of no Terror Tram

But trying to get 8 houses done between 7pm-2am in a multi-level park is hard enough WITH Terror Tram (& a show ....or two). I couldn't imagine adding one more house to that stress (even with the FFP lol)

Unlike 2023, the event wasn’t bursting at the seams with crowds. From what I understand, last year did fine, but absolutely not enough to warrant adding a house. I’m thankful because I think the event has hit the sweet spot with how many houses there should be before quality suffers and there’s too much to do for one night.

In the flip side, the Scream rumor makes a lot more sense considering that a venue the size of the JW extended queue makes more sense for a slasher IP like Scream than the largest sound stage on the property. IMO that’s kind of excessive for Scream and a tent would be just right for that.

We've seen the quality suffer even with 8 houses (which includes the unfortunate post-apocalypse repeat trend)
