I'm starting to think they want to end HHN and they're doing it in a way where we won't be sad or sorry to see it go..

Murdy keeps talking about Alice in Wonderland on his Twitter, wish we would’ve had that as a maze since Orlando did it 3 years ago.

If Blumhouse really is ToD & Unfriended though then they’re basically giving Warner Bros. free business. As overdone as Insidious is it is consistently scary and cheap, and it’s a big property that makes sense. Seems off that they wouldn’t do Sinister again though considering that was the highest rated section of Blumhouse

Call me crazy, but I'd rather have TiTE over an Unfriended/ToD Mashup.

Naaaah. You’re crazy. :P At least with Unfriended I’m curious to see how they would do it.

With all these rumors I'd almost be happy with a standalone Happy Death Day maze

It would be leagues better than Unfriended or ToD. Starting to get jealous of Orlandos Blumhouse now...

It almost seems unreal that The First Purge, Truth or Dare, & Unfriended were all potentially approved for the same year(with one being its own confirmed maze). If that’s true then they’re realllyyy out of touch with what fans want; hell I’ve seen more requests for The Strangers(wouldn’t mind honestly) and Jeepers Creepers

I think TFP has potential. Skeletor, if done right, could be really cool and scary. There is a party scene that if done well could really mess with some people.

As for ToD and Unfriended, I want to find a reason why they would be done.... and I just can't.

I’m fine with The Purge but all 3 of those in one year would be overkill. And yeah logically there’s no reason Unfriended should even be considered

Was paranormal activity ever 100% ruled out for HoBv2? Out of all the blumhouse properties they havent used (not including get out, cause murdy has already ruled that out) i think this could be the most unique out of them. I think they could use some cool shadow effects in that section and since theres not really a design for the demon in the series, the creative team could be (for lack of a better word) creative with the design. IDK if it would attract people since the series is basically irrelevant now, but i personally think its 100x better than either of the speculated properties coming to the maze.

Murdy will do This is the End, Truth or Dare, and Unfriended (The last one especially having ZERO maze potential) before he’ll do Twin Peaks as it’s not “horror enough”. Let that sink in.

AHS: Asylum and Get Out are too controversial but you’ll do a movie that literally has the KKK and a burning cross in it? GTHO Murdy.

I...I just- I’ve lost interest completely. I’m only going one night this year for UCM and ST, which will be the first time I’ve done that since 2010.

Jeepers Creepers would be awesome, but only after Victor Salva dies (hopefully soon, I can say that about a convicted child rapist, right? lol) and someone new takes over the helms of the series. It's so unfortunate because that idea and villain have so much potential for sequels, mazes, and other media, but literally nobody should give the director a dime while he's alive. I saw the first one in theaters (and Powder), but had no idea until the internet was more, uh... informational. I've seen the second one maybe once or twice on TV and again at a friend's house when we double featured them. Watched some of the third one on a streaming site (again, I refuse to give him the money or even giving him a Netflix hit count) and it was pretty awful so never bothered to watch the rest. The first one is easily the best of the series and could work so dang well as a maze and a future big franchise - but perhaps that just will never happen. It's unfortunate I've given alot of money already to Weinstein (and probably still do), but oh well, what ya gonna do and I want my dang Scream maze, so someone better snag those rights and fast!

Hopefully whoever snags the rights for the Scream IP is able to comb through EVERY SINGLE right pertaining to that franchise.. Murdy finally admitted that the rights to the IP are really complicated and that's why we haven't seen it yet.. I wonder which rights he's referring to as we've done Scream in 2011 and Orlando almost had it in 2015..

2011 was based on Scream 4, which is owned by Weinstein. Scream 1 - 3 are owned by Miramax (which Weinstein used to own), so to get a maze on all of them would need the rights from both of them.
The maze in Orlando was going to be based off the TV show, if I remember correctly. But with the visual outline of the first movie (which then got turned into The Purge).

From what I’ve read/heard I think Scream 2011 = Dimension/Miramax gave them access to only Scream 4, but there would’ve been a Scream franchise maze in 2012 if things went well. Dimension/Miramax neutered the tram and they & Hollywood didn’t get along too well so the Scream maze didn’t happen.

Scream 2015 in Orlando = Universal asked if they could do Scream but Dimension/Miramax never specified which Scream(as the TV Series just launched), and Universal built a house on the movies but Dimension wanted the show. So instead Orlando got The Purge.

The Ghostface costume itself is owned by a separate company but probably wouldn’t be as hard to get to. With Weinstein gone hopefully Dimension & Miramax would be easier to work with

Other properties we can’t get because TWC are Hellraiser, Scary Movie, Halloween 6-Rob Zombie’s H2, Amityville: The Awakening, and a few others IIRC

I now remember Rob Zombie's Halloween was gonna be a thing for a while.. but, like you said, TWC probably wouldn't let it happen..
