Lots of interesting stuff about this queue. I'm not one that really likes haunted houses and stuff like that (never have done HHN and in no rush to) so I'm not looking forward to having these scareactors jump from out of no where lol.

I remember them doing that on the Mummy when it first opened and I must have been 14, the guy got me good. Jumped from a corner and screamed something. Funny enough I would see the same guy working in Men in Black years later. But that only lasted a year or 2 on the Mummy, so we'll see how long until they tone it down on Kong

Highly doubtful. Sure we're getting bad weather but the center of the storm is hitting near Tallahassee. Tomorrow is really no different than any other Summer day in Florida; we just know the bad weather is happening with more certainty.

Walls are down. This is a step, and not the final one, towards guest technical rehearsals.

So glad to hear that this isn't Yeti 2.0 (a quick glimpse of an AA that you don't have time to admire).

Also sounds like strobing the Kong AA isn't a possibility, which puts the onus on them to maintain this showpiece. It seems like Universal has upped their AA game.

For me I have no worries about this AAs maintenance due to the fact that Creature Technology probably wouldn't allow it to become Disco Kong. Btw when will the official statement come out that they made it? It still says "coming soon" on their site.

I don't remember scare actors but I remember one time seeing Imhotep walk through in his human look.

Waited over an hour - all inside with delays. Exterior part was off since it kept breaking down if they tried to do it. Had Jinx as driver.

I give it a solid "meh, not bad."

I wouldn't wait in a long queue for it. And if the queue goes slow with delays, like it did for me, it cycles quickly and becomes a bit dull.

The carnictis was neat. The witch was neat but she's in a giant room with a million switchbacks. So we saw her for like a good 20-30 mins.

We were moving at speed through the scare actor area and it's as obvious as a HHN house. But not bad. Cleverly setup.

As soon as you depart they say don't worry about goggles until caves.. But if you bypass outside you like immediately have the skeleton in front of you and he says to put them on. The fire goes out.. With a weird air hose hiss.

The big bat things look.. Blah. They just seemed low rent compared to the rest of the stuff. In some parts of the queue some items were like that - the plastic look I complain about for HHN but a lot was we'll done. If you like skulls you'll like the queue. It's like skull decor a million ways.

The first scene shoots the flare before you even align the vehicle to see so it seems to fly by.

And the next scenes in the pit seems like it's only a few feet away which comes off as very off spacially. Mild movement.

Did I mention the queue carnictis is in a big glass box? So you get a good look at it.

Lots of water spray as Kate kills bugs.

Then off into the 360. The illusion of speed when you accelerate is nice. The transition into it is nice. And I was against the right wall - so the left looked good. The right was hard to see because you're right up on it. Definitely times where I got splashed and had to look to see what was going on. It felt a bit like everything was being thrown at you at once.

It felt short.

Then the transition out... Whih was just the screen off. Not sure what to think. If that's intentional or a glitch.

Kong AA is big and impressive but there's no context or even really commentary. It's like.. All this happens and then giant ape.

And the ride overall felt short. Everyone assumed it was shorter than Journey.

So, as I saw it, solid "meh" but I'm hard to please and it obviously wasn't 100%

And I can confirm the walls came down.

I think they will soft open it tomorrow, but it sounds kinda lame if it bypasses the doors. Will probably still wait for tuesday

Advice: the queue was stupidly hot. Bring water. Lots of water.
