Judging on Universal Studios Singapore alone, I'd say a Futurisitic/Sci-fi City works pretty well with the other lands.

Can't work any less than the Simpsons ride used too :fist: But that's admittedly much better now with a full Springfield. That being said, the whole "they can't build X because it doesn't go with Y" is a pretty lame argument. Did it work for Potter in Amitty?

Star Trek Experience at Hilton Vegas is the best themed attraction ever built outside Disney & Universal. If they just pulled it out of storage and plopped it down in UOR, I'd be happy...

I agree, very cool. My favorite part was the Borg leading you into the theater.

And when your guide got grabbed and dragged up into the ceiling? Too cool!

Yes, the entire show was excellent. I just don't know, though, how you can adjust that small capacity attraction to a capacity that would be acceptable for a theme park. But I enjoyed the entire theme spiel, from the museum & timeline pre show area to Quark's Bar. You are so right when you call it the best theme park experience outside of Disney & Universal. I would certainly rank it in my top ten theme park experiences, actually probably top five.

It could be accomplished with a different ride type, or multiple simulators. The take-home is live actors and practical sets in the preshow, that leads directly to the loading of the ride which is part of the storyline. So if they wanted to do a setup with a teleporter and a bridge scene (which was breath taking), those elements could be shared by multiple RVs. For example with the corridors, it would be whichever door you are lead to.

I know it's more than a rumor but I'm not even remotely excited for it. I hope it falls through tbh.

I'm with you, I am not a huge Star Wars fan and less of a Star Trek fan. I know the fanbase is extremely rabid for both, but I honestly am not sure how big it is for Star Trek.

So is Star Trek a plan B if The Lord of the Rings plan fails, or is this a legit replacement for something like Lost Continent or Men In Black?

Yeah I can't say this is something I'm excited for. Furthest thing from a Star Trek fan. I'd rather they just focus on the possible Iron Man ride. If it is even something they are considering. Would like to see IOA get more attention since other than Hogsmeade and Kong in the future, the Studios has been getting all the new stuff

I'm not a Trekkie either but I love the JJ movies, I think it'll fit

I hope it doesn't. I didn't care for the Simpsons or Harry Potter but Universal made me a fan in what they did. You may not like Star Trek but if you give Universal a chance to build something with this IP, you too may be blown away by the end result.

Not a huge fan of this rumor. I'm not a huge Star Trek fan, but that's not the issue. I'm concerned it will focus way too much on screens or 3D. We all know how much UO needs more of those.

Same. I Could care less about Simpsons or potter in the real world but Universal has made me a fan. I Dont know what Star Trek is but from what I've looked up and seen so far seems as though it would be an AWESOME LAND by Universal.

I think Star Trek would work well, get a Si-Fi theme going w/ Men in Black and use Star Trek for the expansion plot, who knows, maybe even where Kid Zone is as it would fit with ET.

Too bad they can't just build a holo deck, then the ride would be different every time you ride :-)

I still remember enjoying making a Star Trek video a whole bunch of years ago at USF.

Just a "futuristic City" would be cool.

Have said it before and I'll say it again! A cross-between prometheus and alien encounter which was in MK.... That would be INCREDIBLE if they could pull it off

The blonde guy would be your guide, just in a room like the one where the "engineers" or whatever they were called are sleeping, then a ton of holograms, stars, etc. Would be insane

Don't want to hear that Prometheus wouldnt be enough of a draw, thats what you have star trek, HP, Marvel for. A prometheus ride of that stature would be original to USO, bring in a new interactive ride/show and would be just incredible

They could totally use this technology to do it also and it would work really well...
