So i guess we're looking at Best New Attraction award for this ride this year? I think it deserves it regardless if it is a clone or not.

From where? Theme Park Insider? Nope. It opened before June 30, so it technically qualified for the 2013 awards. Which Mystic Manor very deservedly won.

I was gonna be nice and not even touch that, but yeah There's a reason they gave it to Hollywood and Signapore in 2012. Because it's all the same thing.

Is the ride opened right at park opening? Because sometimes I'll go to the park right when it opens and they'll only have DM:MM, HRRR, and Shrek 4D open and block off the Hollywood section as well as the NYC section.

I don't see why they wouldn't have it open, since it's brand new and mega-popular.

It actually opens at 8 AM along with Despicable Me to hotel guests.

I'm not a hotel guest, but they sometimes open the gates 15-30 minutes early, so I sure hope they open early tomorrow when I go. I haven't got to go through the stand-by line yet, always single rider, the stand-by has been too long.

Even if they don't open the gates until exactly 9 o'clock, Transformers will have been running for an hour already (as long as it hasn't broken down) so go for it! The standby line shouldn't be too unbearable, even with the hotel guests getting a head start.

DM accumulates a 100 minute + line within 30-45 minutes.

Just got back from vacation, had a chance to visit the parks and finally ride it. It definitely lived up to the hype it was getting and I enjoyed it, wish that the queue wasn't so crammed though (I understand they had to work with the space they had but still). It was much more intense than spiderman was but after riding it I understand why a lot of people said it's a spiderman clone (3d glasses/similar paced story/same ride vehicle and color!). Nevertheless, it's still a great addition to the park, since we got something for nothing for it.

Yup, DM was 70min at 9:15 this morning. TF got to 75 by 9:30 but the single wait was only about 20min.

We saw Despicable Me 2 tonight. It was a delightful entertaining movie. Even better than the first one. Those minions are just too funny. This is a terrific IP.

New Audio equipment is being installed at the M&G for the future Audio upgrade. Components and speakers are being provided by JBL and the goal is to have live voice audio projected through the new speakers and audio within the suit. This will require a real person to watch via camera from within the M&G.
