Oh I hadn't realized F&W food info hasn't been released yet. That's crazy because in years past, you would know it a month or two in advance. Wow.

You can do it as soon as the day is available! For example, if you have bought express passes for friday night, you can try to upgrade it at the front gates (or a Universal Hotel) at 12:01am that friday.

Shhhh, one of the few hacks that the general population isn't aware of. Very handy for the busier nights like Columbus weekend.

Sorry if this is the wrong place to put this but I am finally attending my first Orlando HHN after over a decade of wanting to attend ever since I saw the art of the scare special. Been going to HHN Hollywood since 2007 so I am somewhat seasoned to how things go. I have express and I am only unfortunately able to attend the event for one night but I was looking for any tips or suggestions. I really cant believe I am going, ive been dreaming about this forever. Thanks!

My actual best advice is getting a electrolyte packet and drinking it before the event. You're going to be able to fit a lot in one night with Express, and it could be considerably more hot/humid than it is in California. To my recollection Hollywood was a dry-event for some time. There's a lot of opportunities to drink at HHN Orlando and if that's your bag, that's a lot of dehydration. 1 packet before the event, 1 after and you'll feel like a million bucks.

I had this sitting in draft for awhile because I felt a little silly posting it, but it really can make having a fun night

They have concierge.

*Edited* I misspoke:

If you want to do it at 12:01am you need to go to the kiosks inside the park or go to guest services at the entrance.

Otherwise, at the hotel find out what time the concierge desk opens up and wake up early that morning to see if the unlimited express pass upgrade for HHN is available for that evening.

Are they only doing the Unlimited Express as an add on or are you able to buy it there as a standalone option? I've had FFP with Express for so long, I've never been able to purchase the Unlimited option and I'm hoping it is available for a couple of my nights.

It'll be an add-on: if you didn't purchase an express pass prior there needs to be express pass inventory available that night, then you ask about the unlimited express upgrade and they'll charge you the additional fee. If express passes are soldout that night, if you didn't have an express pass bought already, you're out of luck.
