Still not sure what makes this IP "not belong at Magic Kingdom". Magic Kingdom has a million different IPs and Disneyland (which is pretty much the same thing) has even more.

Also, while Rivers of America was great, we're getting two major lands and at least four rides as a replacement. Magic Kingdom has needed this for a long time.

You never gonna be able please a certain cohort of fans. Even I was against Cars coming to the Mak but I’ve warmed up to it because Disney is doing their due diligence.

Also it’s not a clone of the land from California.

Respectfully, I think your hatred of Cars is clouding your judgement.

While Thunderstorms will of course shut things down as usual for outdoor attractions, Disney did confirm it's designed to run just fine in the rain.

Also lightning is probably more an issue than anything.

Does BTMR shut down in the rain usually?

Rides can stand on their own even if the IP is terrible. This is the same park that had Splash Mountain and currently has Tron. If the land is good (and it looks incredible) we'll be just fine even if the IP choice is weird.

As for what it replaced, as a Florida native Rivers of America was never special to me. It was just more of the nature that I grew up around. Beautiful, but not unique or special. This and Villains Land will finally give this park more rides and more walking space, something that it desperately needs.

Radiator Springs has been at DCA for what... almost 15 years now? I think the IP choice is good and has proven that it can be long lasting.

Rivers of America wasn't something I ever enjoyed either, so I'm happy they're turning that space into something that can help spread guests out and giving us new attractions and lands to boot.

Yes, a very successful land, and 'cars' are a universal theme that kids, especially boys, love.

Indiana Jones, Piston Peak, Encanto and even Monstropolis are good gender neutral addition in my opinion.

I don't really care for the Cars series, like its fine but its not something I love like Coco or the old Toy Story movies...etc

Carsland is amazing, like one of the best lands at the resort and hands down the best land at DCA

From everything I'm seeing here, this land is really cool

I am sorry for those who will miss the river but this to me seems like more the a fair trade, the land looks very cool and the E ticket looks fun as heck with all the different zones you will end up in.

I could be wrong but I think this will do very well for MK and bring in lots of guests

Also how long are we expecting this ride to me? It looks like it could easily hit 4-5 minutes with how long and massive it is depending on any slow downs for show scenes, etc.

Had a thought about this in another thread, but figured it was better to explore her since I keep seeing people call it this... but is it really a land?

Not saying it doesn't look great, but Big Thunder in Paris isn't it's own land just because it has a big footprint. Maybe it's all semantics, but is this not just a Frontierland expansion?

It's definitely its own land that will have its own music loop and vibe. It's going to be more like Grizzly Peak at DCA than it will be like the old west town Frontierland represents.

There was a great map from a D23 preso (in the imagineering pavilion IIRC) that showed the various inspired landscapes from Liberty Square/Frontierland, and how Piston Peak fits in:

Good question, it's deffinatley frontier aligned and in Frontheirland. Maybe it'll be something like how Tiana/BTMR is its own part of Fronteirland with its styles vs the main walkway and Country Bears. Perhaps a section? "Ah yes that's the mountains of Frontierland, this the outpost, and over there are the mines!"
