In a wild turn of events, Hiccup's (145) and Fyre Drill (105) now have longer wait than Ministry of Magic (90).

Seriously though, great to see Ministry improve capacity-wise. Their obviously working on getting closer to their theoretical.

Hoping they can solve the issue Hiccup

Epic Universe's overall Google rating currently stands at 4.0, with 1,200 reviews. (USF and IOA are 4.7) The vast majority of negative reviews stem from long waits and a lack of shade.

Simply mentioning it on here so we can have a reference point as to how, inevitably, quickly it improves. Outside the theme park fandom, the park is a creative success hampered by operational difficulties.

Those long lines have the potential to turn future guests away. Epic has good to excellent attractions, a beautiful ambiance, but a definite capacity problem that needs addressed. Otherwise, the people will fix the capacity problem themselves, by not visiting.

Well, we are in month 2 of operation. Let us "let them cook" before we keep harping on the same point over and over.

This is my top concern, and why I was insistent that capacity was not going to be great at the park... especially when it rains. Creative success, but I worry that all of these initial complaints will delay visitation and thus make the park look weaker than it actually is (at least initially with their financial results).

Just to clarify, my post was meant to be a reference to see how quickly they can overcome initial complaints/reviews. It will get better, but it's been rough seeing the overall rating drop from 4.4 in May to 4.0 since Opening Day. The other Orlando parks range in the 4.6-4.7, so it will be fascinating to see how quickly it can get to those levels (as I imagine that's the goal).

Wait times keep getting higher, so it will be interesting to monitor.

My post was just a general comment, no problem or disagreement with your post whatsoever (or any for that matter).

I remember when Volcano Bay was hovering around a 2/5 for the first few months!

Though I am not certain of the actual numbers, IoA struggled in the early 2000's along with the rest of the resort. Potter is what rescued the park, from all indications. As you said VB was pretty rough to start. It had operational issues with some slides not accommodating larger riders and other issues. Hagrids took forever to iron out the kinks. Epic has 9 of those (although a couple of the rides should be pretty straight-forward implementations). I trust UNI to fix some of the shortcomings and time should fix the rest.

Reports are Epic generated $30 million in tax revenue in May. Impressive number considering most of it was previews.

Excuse the bitterness, but horrible operation day at epic atm.

Started the day on Monsters with not much of a problem except both preshows were down, still not a huge deal.

Tried to get on stardust but was delayed for a grand bit of time, also seems only green is running today for whatever reason. Had to leave.
Hiccups went down while we were in line and also had to leave that. According to the app it’s still down and it’s been like that for the past two hours.
Hopped in line for Mario Kart, waited an hour and then hit with another delay of about 45 minutes. Not sure how much of this I can use to make a case for a refund later but I saved some of the ride status from the app on my phone. Don’t really like to complain but when you spend a lot of money and time to come to the park you expect some delays, but nothing like it’s been today.

Honestly awful.

Those lines are really bad as we move into peak July. As they've gradually raised the capacity cap to it's theoretical limit, consistent delays and a park layout that really punishes jumping between portals too quickly lead to a day full of waiting in 75+ minute lines over and over.

I've been monitoring wait times lately to come up with a strategy for an upcoming trip, expecting issues of course.
I've noticed for weeks that Hiccups has a ton of downtime, very extended downtime. Very surprised this little coaster has soo many issues!

I'll also say again, this park has no business increasing guest capacity, they are struggling way too much.

If you’ve waited many multiple of hours in lines and only actually ridden half the things you’ve waited for I’d say you may have a good case for a refund. It’s one thing to be delayed in line, it’s another to keep waiting in line hours just to not even get on. More than once.
