I'm pretty sure he did "consult" - however that's defined under his current contract. They paid a boatload to keep him on last time it was up for renewal (the penalty for canceling was reported in the press to be enormous - I think in excess of a billion dollars?).

Sure, but I haven't heard anything about him being hands-on in the way he was with several attractions in the previous parks.

Yeah, Matt Rogers seems to be a park fan and he just hosted Today with Jenna.

I assume Keenan, and I wouldn't be surprised to see that Ariana shows up with her Florida roots and ties to Universal now.

For those out of the area, WESH2 is the local NBC affiliate, and they have been doing great coverage of Epic, with a whole lot of “exclusives”. Most of it will be on the website as well. Christina has been there parks reporter for a while now, and Jason Guy is a HUGE fan of the parks, so they are as excited about showing off Epic as just about anyone.

It is! He's been a newscaster here for 16 years now. He is a HUGE park fan, super nice guy, and he loves HHN and goes to the east and west coast events every year.

Disney gave up on preventing people from lining up at the toll gates for Rise of the Resistance's opening when they realized people were doing u-turns around the area and started parking off the side of the road.

Likely UOR realizes this and just decides to open up earlier than announced to prevent a backup onto the surrounding area and cause traffic concerns.

Every time a Disney CM has told me to go away and come back (whether it's for club run disney early expo access or D23 lineups), I've come back at the exact time they told me to find either 100 or 1,000 people in front of me.

To your point, I hope there's some sort of contingency or backup or something because I'm sure folks will want to plan ahead.
