The open grass across from Stardust next to Potter that some have said they want a dark ride at is a perfect sport for a Flat ride or a Trollercoaster sized Kid/family coaster

Yeah that would be my guess too!

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but... I don't remember that land in the expansion pad being cleared before. Land prep already for Creature?

Pretty sure it has been cleared and seeded for grass since TM previews started. A couple months now.

It's a comparable footprint to troller coaster, so maybe a small powered kiddie coaster

If I were to guess, the grass seeding is relatively inexpensive. So even if it's very temporary, they'll probably get their money's worth off of having beautiful aerial photos posted on the news and social media (compared to having a bunch of dirt).

They may also not be fully committed to what project they move forward first. And so instead of leaving all the expansion pads as dirt, they seed them all and figure it out later. 'Just get the park open and pretty" is probably what they're thinking about today. That doesn't necessarily mean expansion isn't coming soon after

No seeding in the plots near Nintendo yet.

The grass helps with drainage of rain too apparently.

Just watched and it was good to put things in perspective.

The mention of festivals and holidays fits with the observation I made—

The lamp posts in Celestial Park all have multiple outlets on them, like for additional lighting or Christmas decorations, or other future additions:

the grass also helps the dirt stay where it is as in the dirt doesn't blow around everywhere nor float away w/ the rain.

Yea that’s the main reason I cited in the video. Dirt bad.

Even if they were planning to break ground on any plot any time in the not too distant future they would most likely be seeding the area with grass. It's cheap and helps prevent erosion and dust, plus it looks better than dirt and weeds. They do have a hotel that looks onto all those expansion pads, and obviously they are worried about those views based on the painting of the ductwork on the Atlantic.
