The Jada Toys figure is pretty cool, and I believe these have been in the parks off and on:
s-l960.webp

And it didn't cost $84 (or $42)!

Love that guy. Just rocks out in pajamas all day and makes plans to take over the world that he doesn't follow through on. The most relatable Universal Monster.

Yep. I think he's the only one i don't own (yet?). My roommates gifted me the Bride one & two others.

Phantom of the Opera was an instant buy because it is a legit action figure for the Broadway/West End musical. I squeaked when I saw the half mask.

Upon further inspection, I realized I had to have Dracula, Mummy, Frankie, Wolfie & Gillman because they are actually The Monster Squad version of the monsters.

But yea, even USH still keeps these figures in stock which I'm happy about. I just wish the rest of the Monster merch was better... although I'll be curious to see if any of the new Dark Universe merch gets sent over to the west coast

I've seen them around! This, the bendy figure, the new plush that dropped in October, and the pressed penny are the only things that he has gotten park-side through all of these big UCM merch drops. I pop into the HMUS everytime I'm in Studios to see if anything else has popped up, and there pretty much never is. :skull:

He's so silly goofy and I love him. He's a mean dork in a fashionable velvet robe, all wrapped with bandages and topped with a big hat. His look is so wonderful and it kills me that he's not utilized more because most people just haven't seen the film!

I think they have positioned Creature as the goofy, corny underdog Universal Monster across the past few years, so he gets a ton of stuff alongside Drac and Frank and Bride while Invisible Man sits collecting dust in the corner.

***bendyfig that's the brand, not the Jada figures.

But I think i did want the Dracula Jada figure. Also the NECA version(s).

Curse of the Dark Universe. Eternally spending money on the monsters.

I think something more in the line of what they have on the How to train your dragon coaster. There is one place where a rusty frame can be seen with half a circle after the second launch..

Any idea what's with the Jurassic Park-style fencing and the tall metal supports between the coaster track and walking path?

The people of Darkmoor had a crazy idea of putting a roller coaster in the Werewolf paddock.

This area outside the Monsters Unchained extended queue intrigues me in a few ways:
  • It surprises me the gates in the queue allow such a clear view "outside the park."
  • There appears to be landscape lighting and even speakers along the walkway...as if guests are expected out there.
  • There is a very cool, gnarly tree out there...seems like a special specimen that could have been used in a guest-facing area, so why plant it outside the park?
It all makes me wonder if this extended queue is designed so it can serve double duty as an extended queue for a future new Dark Universe attraction located to the right?

I didn't notice this until just now, but it's a little strange. Has to be a conscious choice, because it would have been very easy to make those gates solid, so as not to allow guests to see out of that area.

Yeah, it's pretty hard to tell elevation changes from aerials like this... in a lot of Bio's pictures of Celestial Park it looks very flat, which it most definitely isn't.

Is that likely just an emergency exit out the queue if they need to quickly dump?

The copper weathervanes and finials on top of the buildings in Darkmoor are new to my eyes. Great details!

Yeah, that would seem to be the primary purpose. I was just surprised by speakers, the special tree, etc. outside there. But come to think of it...a very excellent use of these gate areas would be for some impromptu jump scares of the guests in line!

Only the center bus lanes are open. The general traffic lanes are not ready yet.
