every single ride in both parks is an ip ride,
every ride. why would they randomly do an original coaster lol.

They’re literally doing an original coaster at the brand new theme park they’re building in a land with no IP’s.

I’m one of this ride’s top defenders and I am excited to see what replaces it, no matter the theme! Though, not gonna lie, if they choose Ghostbusters over F&F, you have no idea how happy I’ll be!! :grinning:

The land is incredible, worth it for that alone.

I've liked the idea of HRRR more than the actual ride, and that's more due to the roughness of the vehicles. The track elements are fun it's just the physical pain it induces that doesn't make it worth it. I don't know how it's been recently as it's been a couple of years since I've ridden it but that's what I remember.

One thing I hope they'll keep (and it seems likely?) is the coaster swooping by the entrance near CityWalk. It's the only ride that teases you like that on the resort and it's always fun to stop and watch the trains go by a few times there. I kind of want to assume the new coaster will add more track to that area since the project area covers that entire front plot.

How important is that pathway between CityWalk and the old BMG building? Is it still used for things that would require it to stay? Or they could reroute a path closer to Hard Rock which I think already exists?

RIP Rip! :skull:

I’m hoping that area isn’t all ride-restricted/coaster area and that they use this project to reconfigure that whole space and absorb most of it into USF. They could use some of that space to make access to HHN queuing easier, in addition to the space formerly occupied by Rockit’s existing lockers/station/queue.

Regardless of your thoughts on Villain-Con, I think these are just objective truths. Shrek was a long-in-the-tooth 3D show you could watch on Netflix for about a decade. At least VCMB is unique to the parks.

It would be the most Universal move to put F&F in New York with little relevance and put Ghostbusters into San Francisco with even less relevance.

If the path goes, it frees up the Blueman building that could then be used as an expansion for Minions.

I reaallyyyy want a Minions/Despicable Me dark ride. If they could fit a SLOP style dark ride, even if a bit smaller, that’s a perfect complementary attraction to what they currently have.

I asked about that building before:

Mad Dog said:
It's seasonally used for Grinchmas now.

Otherwise the current project area and the BMG plot would make great space for possibly 2 attractions instead of one.

As much as I really do not think Despicable Me/Minions -- as an IP -- needs or warrants three attractions in USF, I'd take it.

I'd rather see Minion Mayhem go away in this exchange, though.

I avoid rocket nearly as much as hulk - awfully uncomfortable coaster that typically results in headaches & neck pain.

I’ll only miss the experience of riding a coaster while listening to the muppets (but it’ll be a short missing - hello, Aerosmith refurb).

When I walked by a couple weeks ago, I was looking at the area. My thought is they should run an element out over/under the citiwalk sidewalk into the lagoon. Something similar to Hulk's Cobra roll.

A SLOP style dark ride themed around DM sounds great. However, It seems Minion Mayhem isn't going anywhere considering how it's slated to open at USS. However, I think there is the possibility UGB could get some sort of bespoke DM dark ride considering how that park has a "no clones from Orlando" mandate.

Ghoster Coaster lol

I can see a Ghostbusters themed coaster because they spend a lot of time riding around busting ghost. I can see an indoor launch with props and things outside. Similar to the props on mummy but outside if you get my drift. I think a dark ride is too slow to capture the true feeling of the pacing of what it takes to bust ghost, especially after looking at that video of the GB dark ride. SO yea, a GB coaster with an indoor launch, tunnels with lights and props and things along the course, with onride audio.

plus the rail could be like the stream light that comes out of the proton pack.
you could be riding on the energy stream or something similar.

the ride could be a weapon itself.
