28 YEARS LATER - I'm not sure how the first two films being under Searchlight/Disney would complicate this, but now that the new trilogy is under Sony, they could pull another Frozen Empire and feature the first film at next year's event given its summer release.

Disney lost the rights to 28 Days Later to Sony back in 2022/2023. 28 Weeks Later is still under Disney though. Universal could just do 28 Days Later as a way to promote 28 Years Later.

worth it.

they used the theme for 28 days later in the park before and it was so amazing
dead exposure houses already feel like 28 days later. it would be so completely amazing to have an actually house.
that movie has so many epic scenes and sets.
the song blasting throughout the house or the queue
heaven

People are laugh reacting but I genuinely would not be surprised if we saw Jimmy Fallon's TonightMares at HHN

Could they do a Tonightmares overlay of the ride? Not sure how feasible.

I think it will be really cool but there's probably a negative chance of that happening

It would harken back to the old school days of HHN and would def be cool, but putting an additional experience on the front end of the park doesn't sound ideal. The back of the park struggles to pull guests already. Especially this year.

My God I wish Universal would have renegotiated the Simpsons contract for Treehouse when they had the chance....

I do believe Tonightmares was very well done from the videos I've seen, and it was a great way for the HHN team to branch out, but I don't think there's any chance we'll ever see it appear at the event proper. Besides the IP not being a strong draw for a Halloween event, the maze itself was designed specifically to stand on its own as one long experience that's uniquely tailored for the New York area. While Fallon is present throughout the whole experience with his narration, most of the scenes are just various classic Halloween archetypes that are lightly themed to the IP. As is, I don't think the maze would work at Horror Nights without a significant overhaul, but I wouldn't be surprised if it returns to New York next year.

alright. Here's a wish list lol

1. Silent Hill-- the game broke a million copies the first week the remake came out. New movie is coming out next year as well. I am hoping this IP can come to the event. Either as a house or Scare-zone.

2. Terrifier --Cant deny the popularity, didnt care too much for the third film. But the first two movies I did enjoy. 80s synth kind of music. I think a terrifier house would be super cool.

3. Black Phone 2 -- Best part of the 2022 haunted house. Id like it to get its own house and not share with Megan, I didnt care for Megan that much lol.

4. Nightmare on elm street/ Friday the 13th-- either of those 2, will sell the whole event for me.

If silent hill comes... I will pay for premium scream night, and an unlimited frequent fear with express lol

It sounds like there is very good reason to anticipate Friday the 13th may be here, Terrifier seems more and more likely given how Terrifier 3 made the franchise a lot more mainstream, and I agree with everyone saying Mardi Gras Murders feels like perhaps the easiest short from Slaughter Sinema 2 to transform into a house. But, that would also be three out of ten houses dedicated to slashers - wouldn't Universal pick some but not all of these, to try to give the event more balance? I am a slasher fan so I wouldn't mind, of course, but...

My buddy who did it said "It's great for NY, but wouldn't hold up to the haunts down here."

Fully agree about Tonightmares, which I did towards the end of its run - it was fine, the production quality and some of the effects showed the HHN connection, but it was nowhere near as good as any of the HHN houses on either coast this past year.

Side note for Mardi Gras Murders - but if they did it, I wonder how possible it would be for them to utilize the actual Mardi Gras floats that they already own.

I'd love to see them try something like Triplets again but just with one killer kid. Imagine a little diva going all Veruca Salt through a town.

Ok so here me out. If they're going to do the multi-character slasher type house again, do Schittie's Kidz just for laughs.

Ever since I saw that Mardi Gras Mothman drink as a prop in a house this year at HHN, I've been convinced that, especially with the popularity explosion this lovable cryptid has had, Mothman feels like a plausible Original house for 2025's HHN. But I also carry bias here, I'd love a FNAF/Mothman power hour for HHN to attract me to go, but I get my hopes up every year for Mothman....

Maybe tie Mothman to a BUGS 2? Could be an option.

Ooh, what if Mothman was the Icon? That'd be neat...

I do not see FNAF happening at HHN34 either, I don't think they'd put it before the release of the 2nd film and I believe at this rate, if they keep adapting the games, they're going to use the setting of the third game, whenever that becomes a movie, for a HHN house. It'd largely just focus on one animatronic (Springtrap) which would keep costs down, but as of now, I'm saying No on FNAF.

Stranger Things 5 and TLOU2 are a coin flip. I feel one of these is happening and the other won't. Depends if Netflix wants to go back to Six Flags, but maybe Universal didn't want ST this year and SF stepped up to the plate, and Universal will (likely) want it this year and after SF's showing of it, Netflix will give back to Universal. ST5 also depends if Netflix would rather use Wednesday.

M3GAN feels like a lock and why I don't feel like FNAF is happening next year also.

Smile is an IP to watch, also should keep an eye on Jason Vorhees now that he's escaped IP purgatory. Beetlejuice feels plausible also.

Sorry, I'm not too creative to come up with a lot of ideas for originals, I just go with the flow on those .

I don't think this really holds true, as it's been stated that the next film will be based on the second and third games. FNaF is an evergreen property, and would be very popular at the event even if it didn't tie in with a film releasing.

Oh worm, I didn't know the second film is covering FNAF3 also.

Changing FNAF to a coin flip. I still don't think it's a lock or anything but it'll be a heavily debated topic.
