But you got in line for the stay and scream at 330 and went right to the stranger things line after entering? As in there was zero wandering around from anyone before the house line formed?
Correct. Queue for stay and scream and straight into queue for stranger things. At 4:55 they moved us to the actual queue and the house opened at 5:15. Was through and out by 5:30

T'was checking out the wait times when things kicked off, and this checks out. The three NY houses opened nice and early, TLoU looked like it opened a little after 5:45, though something was delayed for Monsters as that didn't post any wait times until after 6 and after all the other houses opened.

Next Wednesday I'll be down there with a friend, and we might be doing Stay and Scream since we're probably not staying the whole night. (Got a convention the very next day) I can see us doing NY to knock out Exorcist and Dueling Dragons before heading to the back of the park, or doing Springfield to hit up one or both of the parade houses before doing the sprung tents.

Ugh brutally early to stand in line. But I would say that is about the earliest house opening I have ever heard of. There really is no other choice in that way since nothing else seems to open as early. I was hoping to do minions before going into the stay and scream. I do hope that the lines will die down a bit by Sunday night. Looking at thrill data seems to be much better than last week so far.

Question for those who attended the event: how would you rank the houses in terms of intensity? I definitely try to go low intensity to high intensity to “warm up”. I know this is a very subjective question, but appreciate the input!

Also apologies if this isn’t the right thread. It falls under planning for me, but could be a review for others :)
Circling back to this since it wasn't answered. Dueling Dragons was easily the least intense of the non-IP houses (and Monsters) IMO after one time through those 6 houses. I don't have a clear cut answer for scariest yet honestly.

Do they send you thru really fast? That seems crazy fast unless they are literally running people thru

Exorcist, Monsters and Oddfellow on the intense side. ST and DD probably less so,

Thank you both for the input! Based on videos I was thinking DD, ST, and Chucky were the least intense - but experiencing houses irl is different.

One day I’ll be less of a Hallo-weenie, lol

Edit - meant to put this in the review thread. My bad!

Tonight was a Goldilocks night. Perfect weather and the crowds were a lot lighter than last weekend. Wait times still seemed high throughout the night, but I didn’t feel like I was elbow-to-elbow just walking around the park.

Question - in years past for stay and scream we have gone to fast food blvd and haven't joined a line - is this still something you can do? Also, what is likely the shortest line for a house in a stay and scream holding area?

Has anyone used the hotel entrance stay and scream area? What's the line like there?

And, final question-

Is there an opening scaremony that is worth seeing?

Yes, you can wait in Springfield without joining a line. We’ve done it the past two nights.

The shortest line might be one of the front of park houses, but the line to get into NY Stay and Scream has been a monster.

My impression is the hotel entrance isn’t open during Stay and Scream, but I could be wrong about that.

Yeah, we're planning on just hanging out in Springfield for S&S until they release us to houses, rather than immediately joining a line. (I know that's not optimum, but it's what we want to do.) What's the best first house to go for at that point? I'm assuming TLoU is the one everyone gets straight in line for?

Correct. We’ve been able to do Monsters with a minimal wait without waiting in line. Then you can get into Last of Us for a bit of a wait (45 when we walked by last night at around 6) or a walk on for Darkest Deal and Oddfellow’s.

Is Moe’s open during stay and scream or just the outdoor area of fast food blvd?

The problem is the houses just open earlier out of the ny stay and scream. I mean it's good they are earlier than last year but they really need the last of us to open just as early to balance out the stay and screams. No point in going anywhere else even if you don't do stranger things first.

If anyone needs a quick house to do beginning sroind 10:30, i’ve noticed Oddfellows has been like 10 minutes max no matter the posted wait until the end of the night the last few days. It may take 45 minutes to exit, but waits have been decent each time I went through

Time for my annual question of how are the Unmasking the Horror Tours in terms of allowing photos? Some years it's "cameras down" for 70% of the houses, other years it's just a room or two per house they don't let you take pictures. Just curious which way the winds are blowing this year. Thanks!
