There's a variety of new attractions to help curb the demand of it... and another Potter experience to still welcome guests. A VL for an attraction not operating efficiently is better than allowing guests into a queue that remains a standstill all day. (As long as they drop VL as soon as the ride is more efficient).

They should allow "Queue-Only" guests though. That MoM atrium is (IMO) Epic's biggest WOW moment.

Maybe they could use the standby line as a walkthrough, and the built in "express" entry as VQ access until the ride is up and running properly. That way VQ vs. walkthrough would be separate (although then how would they prevent line "jumpers" from just dashing into the VQ line?

I'm very curious to find out if Battle at the Ministry is open for the media preview today. I imagine Universal wouldn't have wanted to host this event with one of the major headline attractions not open so if it's still down I guess that's a good indicator we could be waiting a while yet.

The fact the NYT reporter rode and was impressed makes me hopeful the worst of the kinks are worked out. Even if it’s diminished capacity, at least they can open it with the park using virtual queue.

This is... wow. I wasn't going to watch anything since I'm going in September, but the little voice in my head said, "Come on, it's only the queue," so I scrubbed through bits of it. Amazing.
