Wicked: The Experience coming to UOR

I’ve heard the reason for the delay on opening is because while remodeling they came across some issues with the building (just like the soundstage next door).

I expect this to be a trend moving forward considering how old the majority of these buildings in the park are.

Based off the photos on Twitter, it looks like this will be on the short-term permanent side of things, rather than tribute store seasonal. It looks very well done

Edit: I really appreciate how this feels more like an exhibit than just a gift shop. It has a similar vibe to Lucy Tribute.

I’m hoping this becomes a rotating thing and dosent stay Wicked forever. Feels like universal is going all in with this and I just don’t know if this will stay in the cultural zeitgeist as much as they are hoping.

This, and Universal as well as UOR could really use a female led IP. Doesn’t hurt that one of the leads is already a major pop star either. Wicked will have major legs and it’s very clear to me, Universal as a whole (marketing, film budget, parks) are going all in on this. Unless movie shockingly flops I expect a permanent theme park attraction at this point.
