It's only going to be a matter of time before a water park has a loop on a water coaster which is safe.

I've got the weirdest sense of dejavu reading these last few comments.

We always referred to it as "Traction Park". I worked at Six Flags Great Adventure in the 80's & 90's and remember a LOT of accidents there (but our park always got blowback).

Deep Water Dive at Kentucky Kingdom - which I guess in three weeks will be the world's second tallest drop slide - is actually open below the platform. The tube on Ko'okiri Body Plunge is there mainly to protect the rider from the force of the waterfall in front of it. There of course is also the "low ceiling" for where the slide goes through the pool at the foot of Krakatau.
