From someone over on Magic with a track record of being in the loop:

Looks like Disney made all of the right calls here with none of the garbage rumors that didn't make sense from the beginning.
I just want confirmation that this is going to be Florida's Shanghai Pirates which jives with the rumors of wanting an incredible LL e-ticket for the main indoor ride, something that the Coco ride system won't do.

So it’s a scoop system??

I was actually looking forward to a boat ride but Monsters Unchained is a great reference.

But Disney needs to stop always feeling the need to compete with Uni when they have been the market leader for decades.

assuming the villains featured in the show will have either a meet or greet , or some kind of shop.
Cruella = clothing
Facilar - bar / lounge ?
Evil Queen - candy store (poison apples?)

Does this mean we all pretty much assume that once Villains Land opens at MK the Villains show at Hollywood Studios will close?

It's apparently the Peter Pan ride system from DisneySea.

While I would have loved a highly themed boat ride for Villains.....the PP ride system lends itself well to a Villains "All-Star" type ride with the ability to use screen base tech and quicker transitions to squeeze as many fan favorites into a 4-5 minute ride. The PP ride in Tokyo was very well done....let's hope we get a similar result with this.

It helps that Magic Kingdom doesn't have a screen-heavy dark ride so the Magic Mirror E-ticket will feel fresh next to the rest of the park's lineup. It'll likely have a 40" height requirement based on Peter Pan at TDS.

The Maleficent coaster possibly having zero g rolls makes me think this could be a first at WDW to be above a 48" height requirement. A 51", 52" or 54" height requirement would give some high thrills on the other side of the park TRON isn't on.

I wish they'd kept the Ursula flat or done a Mr. Toad style Cruella dark ride as a third smaller attraction.

In general , I think little kids are going to be scared of this area just by design. Kids are also scared of haunted mansion for the same reason. I think it’s wise to make rides for the audience that will appreciate this land instead of catering to all audiences. If you’re making a villain land then lean into it.

I have a feeling our version won’t be as screen heavy. Not a huge fan of the system but understand it’s a lot more dynamic with movement versus a slow moving boat ride.

After last night I have a lot of faith Disney gonna do an amazing job.

This is probably opening in 2030, right? Tropical Americas and Monstropolis Phase 1 in 2027, Monstropolis Phase 2 in 2028, Piston Peak in 2029, then this in 2030 sounds reasonable.
