A visable, tall steel coaster wouldn’t look bad in the third park. If it fits with the land it can look amazing. Also, coasters like hulk and this transformers re themed version of Hulk look themed w/o it having to be indoors or have an indoor portion. Would love something like this for the third park. Not hulk though, but a themed steel.

Ummm, you should probably take the concept photos down. Against the rules (I think)

That being said, I don't think the Hyperion clone would be quite like that. Maybe have the first half (with all the major hills and drops, the raven) out back, then have the second half (the wave turn, water element, twisty sections, small airtime hills) in the land. You would have to theme the second half appropriately, however. I want a major coaster like a hyper in the park, as long as it doesn't ruin the land in which it resides.

The best example I have for this would be Mako, but Mako really isn't themed. But think of the third half of the coaster, where it goes over the queue, next to/over the walkway, and over the water. With the ship-wreck and stuff. Sort of that whole concept, but with better theming, and longer. Plus, the theming exists in the first half of the ride (unlike Mako).

Like this concept art. But, again, with better theming.

@LJGonz, To just point this out, @Brian G. has already come out in mentioning of those concept art pieces being confidential and un-released, so if I were you, I'd remove them before anything happens.

Okay, @Mattjew200, here's a better example of a hyper-coaster that doesn't go as tall. You can put rockwork under/over a lot of the supports here, it doesn't ruin sightlines, etc. Take out the non-inverting loop and put in a raven, and you have a shorter Hyperion.

That whole middle section could easily be covered in theming. Actually, 75% or the ride could be themed well.

I have removed the images. As Alex said, they were unreleased and leaked, so please do not share them on here.

Look, I said i'm fine with it if it was heavily themed. I just wouldn't want to see the steel beams that's all. Ruins the immersion.

I'm just going to keep posting pictures of Hyperion in hope that we get something like this. Carry on with your day!

You should petition Six Flags to build in Orlando. You get what you want, and we get an untarnished theme park.

I hope Universal does not give us a minimally themed, bare bones coaster with supports all shown, we need better theming than that. Unless this was inside or traveling on top of a mountain, I would not be okay with it.

Even if Universal does a big, tall, steel coaster; it is always unique. Hulk was the first of its kind to Launch you upward at that speed, in an 8 row 4 seater monster with a Zero G roll at the top of its lift. RRR was the first ever ride to include a car with a playlist, never before built non inverting loop, and the first treble cleff element. Dueling Dragons was the first dueling inverted coaster of its kind. These steel giants may obstruct skylines and have minimal themeing *according to some people, but Universal still manage to make it a step above the rest. This coaster has to be unique to Universal. All the coasters that have been shared here are something I can see at six flags. Theming will not make the coaster unique as there are plenty of themed coasters. This coaster should be themed and a Universal exclusive, just like the rest.

Six Flags Over Georgia is the worst theme park i've ever been too. Reminds me of a glorified go-kart place with some coasters.

Yes I have, but Six Flags is a terrible example of how to do coasters in a theme park. For an amusement park like Six Flags it’s perfectly fine though.

I would also wager California Screamin when Paradise Pier was in it's form pre-Pixar Pier.

Both are great examples, as they benefit both the parks they are within if you'd ask me.

My hope, is with a thrill coaster, that it makes sense, is thrilling, and is something that'd be beneficial than a measuring stick.

All I see is a mess of steel among beautiful scenery. What would be interesting as a “Loch Ness Monster” attraction would be if there was an old Scottish Castle right there. Then maybe in the basement/dungeon there’s a modern research team looking for said creature and you board 20k leagues (Tokyo) style subs to go on an expedition. Or, just lazily slap the name on a mess of steel and call it “themed.”
