I still need a huge Universal Creative book documenting Universals past and present rides and entertainment.

The Peacock thing may have EPIC in the title, but it’s a three-part documentary about the history of all Universal theme parks. It just culminates in the opening of Epic Universe. It’s more timeless and educational.

The TV special is good old fashioned marketing and spectacle. It’s disposable and is only meant to be enjoyed now in this moment. It is a commercial.

So in essence..

Peacock documentary = Imagineering Story
TV special = "HEYYYY LOOK AT EPIC UNIVERSEEE COME TO UNIVERSALLL!"

NY Times has a front page review of Epic by a coaster enthusiast. Times has a paywall block. Bottom line. He loved Hiccup Winged Coaster, Racers and Wolfman coasters. He didn't like the DK coaster. He loved Potter queue but was meh on the actual ride. Good review of Mario Kart. and ....He thought Monsters ride was the park's best attraction. He didn't ride Yoshii or the Dragon water battle attraction.

I have hope with Universal leaning more and more on the fandom through vinyls and more "niche" items, that we get one in the next few years. My bookcase is filled with dozens of Disney park books. There are only 3 Universal ones that are all unofficial. I know 3rd party IPs can be a pain to deal with, but I'd love for them to try one out.

Obviously the parks business has suffered through various corporate overloads that didn't care for that stuff, but Comcast seems pretty keen on it. Hoping for a HHN one too.

Cute article, the “The Queue Is Better Than the Ride” subheader cracked me up with how unexpected and blunt it was.

That's a very good review for Epic. More positives than negatives for sure.

Any ideas, or theories, why the delay as well as adding this? Truly no complaints, just curious.

I assumed it was some sort of clearance thing since it’s a documentary.

We already have direct confirmation that they're developing Wicked pitches! Let's not get ahead of ourselves beyond that.

With Volcano Bay closing for refurb October 26th of next year (reopening sometime March 2027), we'd probably get news on what UOR intends to do AP-wise prior to October 26th of this year no?

Can't imagine they'll keep selling 3-park APs with VB next year at full price unless they prorate the price?

I imagine they’ll prorate the price for anyone with a pass that’ll be active during that time. Easiest solution.

That's what I'm expecting, with some sort of disclaimer about it.

I selfishly can care less about VB, I just want Epic lol
