I have no problem when people with legitimate mobility issues using ECVs-- there are just too many cases of "well since you need a scooter, I'll get one too!". I see it all the time at the parks. And before anyone says "not all disabilities are visible", I know that but the system is abused just like the DAS passes and service animal policies. Anyone with a legitimate issue has access-- all I'm saying is those who use them simply as a "convenience" might actually think twice before going if they know they might be delayed by that access.

I don't want to start a whole thing but this hits close to home. I'll just say being the "legitimate" police is an impossible thankless job.

yep. and about the shade problem, just because other parks did it wrong doesn't mean that epic couldn't have done it better. uni could have fixed that. and the lack of places to sit from what other people were saying. things they could have improved.

nobody wants to go up a bunch of stairs all the time lol. even outside the disability issue, you have old people or kids to think about. stairs can be dangerous. they are tiring. maybe they are necessary sometimes. but it's better when they aren't used.

Well as someone with a disabled mom that needs one, and a paralyzed best friend, I can promise you if you think the use of an ECV is “convenient” you are sorely mistaken.

School in palm beach county ends this Friday. You’ve been warned

Reading a lot of negative comments on socials about ops today. Multiple rides and shows delayed or not operating

Small number of attractions— on paper there are just 11, but there is so much more to the park than that.

Yup. Anyone crazy like me could easily spend all of their time in Nintendo.

and....that's kind of the day people feared for Epic Opening Day. But that was smooth as silk......Today started bad with Monsters and Ministry both down at the same time. I'm guessing whenever that happens, its going to be a really bad day. Heck, even the Carousel had long lines today. And Yoshii looked like an E ticket line. Monsters had been pretty decent lately. Wonder what happened? Line times lessened this evening but maybe thats because guests got disgusted and left. Ministry and Monsters did finally get up and running.

These days are going to happen. It’s all a matter of how Universal handles their complaints.

Definitely. Probably, what's more amazing is that this was really the only bad day of the opening seven days. I think we all expected more than one.

This comes down to what I suspected.

Yes, problems are going to happen, every park has a bad day, but I really wish they had added more simple (less prone for issues) attractions, to flesh out the roster.

An epic park, with epic rides, but needs more… low level stuff. A park can’t rely solely on complex headliners.

Also reading that food waits were extremely long , and the park in general felt under staffed for the demand.

Of course it’s Reddit , so I always take with a grain of salt , but there are a lot of angry people on there. After several days of mostly positive feedback since opening , today feels like one of the poor preview days.

Hoping for a better day tomorrow

To be fair. I don’t think it’s the crowds. It’s that 7 out of the 11 rides weren’t open for most of the morning for various reasons.

Yeah, but I expect the crowd demand to increase heavily this week. Schools out now. This is one of the big vacay weeks of the summer. The ride breakdowns will only complicate the matter. Not sure what I was thinking lol.

And now that the park is open earlier and later, less time for maintenance, so third shift is really going to be working hard now.

Starting next on Monday, and going on for almost all of June, park hours will be diminished to be from 10AM-9PM which is a shame but at least they'll have a bit more time to work on things overnight.

Oh wow I knew it closed earlier but didn’t realize it opened an hour later! I hope they use that extra time overnight for sure. But darn, I hate when parks open later since I usually have to leave early.
