I have a question. Is it me or is the gift shop for the dragon coaster really far away from the actual attraction?

It’s right next to the ride entrance. Entrance and exit circled.

It's always amazing how much trees and foliage add to an attraction's ambiance. Compare to all those 'parking lot coasters' most everywhere else.

Yes. Mostly covered I believe, but outside.

I spotted something pretty interesting from an aerial video posted by Attractions Magazine on YouTube (it's from a drone so I'm not sure if it's allowed to be posted here). Super Nintendo World doesn't seem to have the slot machine mini-game from Universal Studios Japan. Instead, there's a new path extension with planters next to Peaches Castle. Are we getting an exclusive mini-game?

I believe we’re still getting the slot machines, they’re just moved over a bit, since our land is wider. As for what goes in this extra space, I’m not sure. But may just be extra retail for Power Up Bands, as we should be getting more of those than Japan, so trying not to get my hopes up for extra games just yet.

Can't have a theme park without Starbucks

That brings up any interesting question. Is Starbucks the only in-park "fast food" chain consistently within a major theme park (not counting Disney Springs or CityWalk).

there was a period where Panda Express existed at both Magic Mountain and a swath of Cedar Fair parks. that is, of course, no longer the case.

We do still have Panda Express in both Universal Studios Hollywood and Knott's Berry Farm! I think Johnny Rockets also appears in both Six Flags and Cedar Fair parks, including Magic Mountain and Knott's currently.

(I have no issues with Starbucks being in these parks, FWIW, though I appreciate them more when their interiors are tailored to the specific theme.)
