Forgot all about day-ops Yoshi already o_O lol

I really hope they're going to add A LOT more plants/trees (hell.. even hanging camo netting) because right now, its just looking like a storage area. The concrete walls of the hill don't help either haha

I’m guessing DWT, Jurassic, and the one last thing (assuming that didn’t get cut) gets announced in the next two weeks. Hopefully sooner, but I suspect next weeks gonna focus on Mar10 and the Galaxy movie activations.

Now if only they'd drop the multi-night ticket pass down another $50, that'd be great haha *sigh*

I've already got my wardrobe planned out:
- Scooby-Doo shirt
- excessive amount of Universal Monsters attire
- 3 anime shirts (2 Roronoa Zoro OnePiece shirts & 1 Jujutsu Kaisen Gojo shirt)
- Slytherin shirt, Hoodie, & Vans
- Jurassic attire (multiple shirts + black Jurassic jacket)

So yea, I'm ready for at least 6 out of 12 nights

It’s 200 bucks for the season pass

With parking at Disneyland that’s the same price as one after hour events there

So to me universal passes for this and HHN are a great value if your going over 4 times especially

Do you think we're going to get something for the Walking Dead venue? I really liked Star Trek last year as it was my first ever walkthrough attraction and I'm hoping they do at least something.

Someone said whatever was there didn't work out

So doubtful.

Harry Potter will have an outdoor watch through and so should Scooby do

That someone is me, hi.

The "Walkthroughs" for FFN this year are Jurassic Park (using that one a bit thin--but yes), Forbidden Forest, and DND).

Why does it feel like everything is going against this year lol

I remember seeing some black boxes behind the cover of the entrance so hopefully whatever they worked on now could be reworked into an original venue. To make up for this loss they should reopen F&F Supercharged again lol

Ohhh I thought Scooby would be a walkthrough as well....interesting if its something else...no idea how it could be like BTTF but if thats the goal cool

Also interesting on JP, Ive been saying its a fan zone...like a mix between BTTF (muchhhh smaller) and the One Piece area

I mean the event is still in its infancy and Universal has never done an event like this before. It’s not that different from how HHN has started and grown. Heck, in its third year post-hiatus, there were almost no new houses!

I hear you though. This year sounds like a one-and-done for me, but at least the new stuff sounds really cool. Give the event time. It will get better.

Very good points, I did HHN and Fan Fest for the first ever time last year so the difference in investment for both is very felt. With how short the event is running for too I imagine they can't really justify huge capital

I do hope it makes people happy

But from all the people I've talked to....the hype isn't there like last year

So will be interested to see what people think when they come.

But also....this event is hard to judge when we are 6-7 weeks out and not everything has been announced. I'm just praying at this point the plaza has entertainment in it besides the fan contests.

Yeah, it feels like they're having a big sophmore slump this year. Regardless of what's going on behind the scenes, losing Star Trek with no replacement is a big blow, and Scooby and Jurassic being the only new IPs doesn't hit the same when they're already featured in the parks.

My group went from 6 people attending last year with premium tickets to just 2 going at all this year. I'm sure I'll still have a good time, but I want Fan Fest to keep growing and I'm worried that if attendance is down this year they'll pull the plug. Hoping they announce something good for the plaza and improve the menu options!

Assuming if things are going a certain way--the new IP's this year are this:
- Jurassic
- Scooby-Doo + Universal Monsters
- The IP going into DreamWorks Theater
- The Park Wide Activation (Assuming it hasn't been cancelled)

The focus for FFN this year seems to be on consolidation (Pets and DMMM should be closed during FFN this time around, for instance) and fortification and strengthening what they have. I understand some people might be disappointed by it, but it certainly isn't FFN.

Us losing the IP in UBE seems to be the biggest detriment, but I suspect it has to do with wider changes being made with that IP causing the parent group to bounce away from. And Star Trek: Red Alert, costed them a lot of money for the dumbest reasons (and didn't get the best reactions to justify trying to reason Paramount to shelling out the sets again).

Ohh I thought the rumor was JJK in Dreamworks....glad it's something new

Losing the SLOP sucks, like sorry thats not a win for anyone because we lost an attraction. I wish that could be open but I just hope people come and like it so we can get more events and more Fan Fest

Just wanted to share I saw two tv spots for Fan Fest Nights on TV just now. It was two spots for the Forbidden Forest and Scooby-Doo back to back, and they were shot in live action using sets. Didn't get a good look since hearing the former mentioned by name got my attention, but they were basically in similar vein to the HHN commercials but obviously not horror, so it's nice to see FFN was successful enough the first time around to warrant it.

Hoping Universal releases them on YouTube soon.
