I think a lot of people will be surprised at the pace Disney will move on this project. I know many are use to Disney dragging their feet on projects, especially during the Chepak era, but they want (and need) to get this project online as quickly as possible.

I hope so-- especially since they now monetize each new attraction by selling Lightning Lane. They could recoup the entire cost of each attraction in less than a year, so nothing should stop them from moving full speed ahead except their own inertia and bureaucracy.

It does appear that the company is getting "back to basics" with its parks. My concern is what happens when the new CEO comes online and whether they change their mind on things that haven't been approved.

I have a strong inkling that Josh D’Amaro might become the new CEO of Disney.

He seems very personable and has some goodwill with the fans. Plus he had the charisma that Chapek lacked in a lot of ways.

As much as theme park fans think he will be. He doesn’t have experience in the Movie/TV/Content side of the business which I think will hurt him and they will want someone else for. As much as I hate the streaming culture, the future of the company relies heavily on Disney + so whoever they think will run Disney + best will get the job.

You don’t think Iger hasn’t been secretly preparing him for this position ?

I feel like he has and probably has invited Josh to all sorts of events to get him familiar with that crowd.

Disney is already pulling back investments on Disney+ and realizing that they can't just rely solely on Disney+ to prop the business. They know the parks are a critical part of the parks.

But, they do need someone who is more film/tv focused since they are struggling.

I know it sounds late, but they can close this part of Dinoland Jan 2026 and still make it for a theoretical deadline of Summer 2027.

They're using all the infrastructure currently in the land, so it's just a cosmetic change. Dinosaur is also mostly black walls... so should be easy to get rid of the 2-3 pieces of theming there lol

It's Disney-- they won't make the 2027 deadline for everything, but as long as they have something done for 2027 they'll claim they did. With all of their announcements they are always kind of murky about the details like that.

Disney rethemes can be done fast when they want to. While Disney deservedly received backlash during the Chapek era... they've proven they can work fast.

Tiana's opened in a year and a half. Test Track will too.

Frozen at Epcot, Guardians at DCA have all been quick rethemes too. I expect this one to be as well.

I don’t doubt SOMETHING will open and be completed, I’m just doubtful the whole project will be done.

Love that. Much better than what was on the walls before. Looking forward to following the construction!

So so excited for the potential of this. If they pull this off to the same level of detail that Africa and Asia got, this will probably be my favorite land since Diagon.

Hoping this is the case. If this is an IP-take on Mystic Manor, I will be very happy as it'll allow them to build it at a larger scale.

Last I heard its not going to be trackless. It's been described by some insiders that it'll be like Figment, in the sense that there will be multiple cars per train, and they can pivot and turn different directions.
