Supposedly the reason they waited this long to replace the FJ lockers, when all of the rest have been updated, is so they could budget it along with the other Jurassic changes going on. Soooo, yeah, accurate.

So are we basically going to be entering the queue to the left in that photo, rather than going inside at all until after the greenhouse? How/where are they going to merge the new queue into the old one?

So I'm thinking they might be doing a split locker situation: the new lockers are for standby only while the old are for Express and Single Riders only. So regular queue would go to the left to store then get in line. Coming back for their items they'd get them then exit back into Hogsmeade.

I'm thinking the old ones are gone in favor of more merch space.

I was thinking that too but then I had a realization: how do you get people in and out of the new locker space, especially those with express pass or single riders?

The locker situation sounds impossible with social distancing in mind.

I wonder if they can reroute the exit? They lose the gift shop if they do that. It might be better but I bet it is still a cluster

Definitely a situation they'll have to keep an eye on.

Maybe. The obvious problem is where the three queues diverge in the cave system.

When it comes right down to it, theme parks won't have social distancing by their very design. The queues, which would be the areas with the highest risk of contagion, are not set up for it and the walkways aren't wide enough. However, the hope is that social distancing will not be the new norm going forward. The lockers can't be set up to handle social distancing without a cast member standing there and assigning lockers and only letting "X" number of people into the locker area.

For Forbidden Journey, wouldn't they set up the lockers to be the first thing that you go through to ease the in/outs of lines? The, as @JoeCamel said, how do you route people exiting the ride into the same space? Hulk's lockers are across from the entrance and work about as well as can be expected. It doesn't create too much of a traffic jam with people entering or exiting. I will readily admit that I'm having trouble visualizing where these new lockers are going.

Looks like what happens is the exit stays the same and the outdoor part of the queue does not start until after the path to the lockers. Bet all that happens is they move the cluster from the inside to the outside and hopefully enlarged space. Not ideal but it could work and you leave the queue split and exit the same.

The current location of the lockers is a major mess. If you don't have to put anything away, you end up fighting against the crowd of people who are heading towards a locker. So, hopefully it improves things.

Kind of random, but what if the three different queues started in three different places? Express and Singles officially start at the bottom of their respective staircases, and standby officially starts in the greenhouse? Then, the old lockers and path to the greenhouse get opened up, basically making a new walkway for people wanting to get to the lockers where the old Singles and Express queues were (passing Snape’s room).

Are there any major additions planned for the Harry Potter attractions in the next couple of years?

Epic Universe is *rumored* to have a land based on the Fantastic Beasts franchise.

No major new Potter additions are rumored for USF and IOA, though a Ministry of Magic attraction was rumored for years.

We just got Hagrids last year.

For someone who isn’t a huge Harry Potter fan, im glad to see the resort mix it up and build attractions based on other properties. I just wish they’d all get the same detail and attention that the Wizarding World gets.

I see things like Kong's facade and I remember that Universal CAN do Potter level detail and immersion without JK/WB

Then I ride the actual ride and start to doubt again

And I remember when people said the mural was bad and JKR/WB would never let that happen on their projects. WEIRD.

I agree, gimme ONE more dark ride scene and I’m 9.5/10/10. Two more and I’m over the moon. I think the screen action is genuinely good so it’s still a 9/10 for me but it does bother my ocd that it’s so dang close to being perfect. Better to ride after a beer I’ve now learned in my adult life.

And I don't remember seeing it on multiple rides, standing in the station is another matter though.
