Yeah, Simpsons is a no-go for us. I would have loved to have seen a Simpsons dark ride/SFX coaster.

I'd really like to see the Simpsons ride go away. but I already know that won't happen especially not with Springfield getting the money put into it it just did.

I'd love to see a new Simpsons ride replace the current one, but I know that won't happen, especially when the area is just fine compared to Kidzone.

Simpsons just needs to update the film so it's not so blurry.

I put Simpsons just slightly ahead of Shrek as the worst rides in the park.

I used to love Simpsons a lot but its reride value isn't very high. I last went on it in April and feel like I'm good for the rest of the year.

I like Simpson's a lot, but like Theme Parks 4 Life, I only ride it once or twice every vacation. The pre show films are absolutely fantastic though. I laugh hard every time I watch them.

It's the least re doable attraction in the resort after Shrek. But the preshow for both rides are absolutely stellar.

Confession time... Simpsons is one of my favorite rides on property. Maybe it's because I'm a big Simpsons fan, so I absolutely love all of the jokes and details. I do think it could use some sort of major overhaul, but mainly on the ride system. The projectors are getting a bit blurry and the simulators are getting pretty rough, and even I can admit the layout of the building/queue is not good at all.

Didn't they just refurbish the projectors or something in Simpson's?

More SCREENZ thoughts.

After hearing about some people who rode Kong and for a few seconds thought the 3D bats were real (not the AA's), does anyone believe that screen quality and 3D will ever become good enough to be practically indistinguishable from real sets? I know when I first rode Gringott's, I saw the tracks in 3D above (I know there's actual tracks in a different scene that are props), and thought they were real tracks for a few seconds.

While I haven't been on Kong, I do think that eventually some things could be done to enhance the screens to make them more useful.

Terminator and Gringott's gave us hints about what could be done if they take the idea of screens but make them moveable and have other real things happen around them.

I think the blending of real sets...screens....projections on real sets, and having real props blending in and out of sets could make for interesting and highly immersive attractions.

Another thing I want to see explored is something of new technology. There's screens that are basically transparent, OLED I believe, but can have content on them. Now imagine that with the concept that Walt Disney used with the multi-plane camera, where those screens move in and out to give a 3D effect without glasses. I would love to do some R&D on that.

Personally curious; what would be our best guess ratio for the amount of Screens over Practical Effects for F&F?

Does that mean they're going more physical after that like what's rumored for Nintendo? What about Fallon?

I believe with Nintendo its more along the lines of, Nintendo is screens at home, live it in person in the parks. Fallon gets a pass cause it has something unique to it and isn't a "blockbuster" attraction.

What if its fully practical sets however utilizes augmented reality. Is that still considered screens?

Universal is working on AR as I hinted 6-9 months ago. Back then I spoke of a possible WETA connection because of one of WETA's well know leads being involved with a company in Florida. The WETA connection was just me guessing back then, and I have no idea who's tech they are focusing on. It is the new biggest game in tech right now.
