I watched the old preshow video and I just have to say it again - the old video captured the idea in the best way. It creeped me out as a kid and as an adult I know it's because underlying the happiness, that voice and those clips made you acutely aware that there was something sinister going on even before the cut in... That video is part of my nostalgia for this ride, and the changes just don't compare - though the update was drastically needed in the age of the smart phone.

I rarely know about refurbs so not at all here. With the entertaining queue, Fallon should come close to holding the audience number of T2.

This, but also because JF will be run constantly throughout the day, T2 had showtimes.

I would love to see them replace this show, i just want it to be a ride. They need a ride in that section of the park and hopefully it could even put crowds at Despicle Me. I just have no clue what they could add there and I think Universal Creative feels the same way

Does the building even have the footprint for a ride?

Oh my gosh, a D-ticket or even C-ticket attraction would be amazing for that section.

I wouldn't mind another attraction replacing T23D, but I think I'd rather have a show replace it. Especially if Animal Actors kicks it when they shut down Kidzone, that would tip the balance toward too few permanent shows.

Universal seems to have a huge bias against shows. I'm thinking they want to move towards a Diagon Alley model. Shows aren't a main thing, just something you happen to see as you pass by.

It's not really a bias. The guest survey's have told them the guests like the short show with a character meet n greet format rather than long shows. So they're doing what the guests ask. I wish they would develop 1 or 2 new stage shows though.

I still think T2-3D is the best 4D theater type attraction ever made

Agreed 100 percent. There is a reason it is the foundation for what Spiderman became. There is just as much practical multi media as there are screens. The live stunt interaction has still yet to be intergrated as wellin anything else, in my humble opinion.

T2 hits theaters in 3D this August. Would be a great time for the attraction to get a full refurb prior.

Yep.

If this goes away before Shrek, something is seriously wrong with Universal's decision making.

The big benefit that T2-3D has is that it's actually a solid movie to watch. It's better than all the sequels.

With Kidzone & DC all going down soon, I can't see Universal closing any existing attractions in either park, if only due to capacity issues, and the lack of attractions on that side of the Studio's Park once KZ closes.

Well, the updated pre-show is evidence that they still acknowledge the ride I guess

A 3-D upgrade to it would very much be appreciated...It's a classic film and franchise...I'm sure it pushes more merch than Twister

Me too! Watched last week, since last visiting UOR 15years ago. Still loved it, for same reasons as others posted above - and the use of the three screens wrap-around (Got a poster in 2001, though never put it up)
