So, anyone think chances have gone up for a Super Mario Galaxy ride?

Hypothetically speaking, if the entirety of that expansion pad ends up being used for Nintendo, I think there's a good chance it would be split into Luigi's Mansion and Mario Galaxy sub-lands.

How big is Space Fantasy at USJ? I’ve always thought that ride was a good blueprint for a Mario Galaxy ride.

I was more hesitant on Galaxy in the past, because while that generation of fans from the 2000s and Nintendo itself love Mario Galaxy, I'm not sure how much that translates to younger kids born in the late '10s - early 2020s. This is a 20 year old game we're talking about.

With the movie though? Chances have definitely increased. I still hope it's Mansion in the end, but Galaxy is possible. Epic would also be the place to make that happen.

Don’t know if it was the specific vehicle I was on this weekend, Donkey Kong was not as rough as my previous rides. It was the first time riding that it felt physically enjoyable unlike my previous reports.

Mario Kart had issues on Saturday evening where the vehicles kept pausing several times during the ride. Other than that the ride is still in great shape!

The land itself had some parts not moving like the Goomba tower, a Koopa and a couple of other things. Someone asked about the paint quality and sun bleaching so I paid a little more attention; a majority of it still looks fine. Some of the piranha plants could use some washing as some of the tops are dirty and darker than the underside.

Yea, the biggest fading paint is actually the rainbow in the courtyard outside the land in front of the portal. I feel like other than some areas needing a power wash now and again, the paint inside the land is still quite vibrant.

In about a month in November, I will be going to Universal Orlando Resort for Super Nintendo World for a couple of days. Are there any merch that I should look out for in terms of getting aside from the Power-Up Bands?

They've got a lot of cute Toad merch if you're into him. Little plushies, Mickey Ear style headbands, etc

Depending on where you're staying, get the Power Up Band BEFORE you go to the parks - I stayed at Stella Nova and they had them in the gift shop on property. It takes a good 5-10 minutes to open up and set up and figure out the app, so do it ahead of time!

I found that there was different merch in a bunch of different places, so just be willing to explore!
MARIO MOTORS is where you exit the Mario Kart ride and the 1-UP FACTORY is right across on the same ground floor level with the Yoshi ride.
There is a kiosk across from the Yoshi Snack Stand on the way to DK, so check that out too.
Once in DK make sure to check out FUNKY'S FLY AND BUY.
On the way out of the SNW section of the park, check out the SUPERSTAR STORE as well - as i personally think all the best merch is there!
(but i got a yoshi shirt at the kiosk and a dk shirt at Funky's all the same)

Don't forget to check the Nintendo Store at CITY WALK too, if you're going to either of the other parks or that direction for whatever reason.

I know that for sure that I will get the Chef Toad plush alongside possibly the Mechanic Toad plush since they are only at Universal parks. Otherwise, my goal aside from getting a Power-Up Band is mainly getting stuff at the parks that are unique to SNW (as in, stuff that mentions it and such). I do have a feeling that my wallet will hate me because of this, though.

I was fine just getting the band and grand opening version of the pin. Also the grand opening Epic T Shirt but that’s not specific to Nintendo.

If Yoshi's Adventure had lockers, I honestly believe downtimes and queue times would be drastically improved. The amount of times I've stopped on that thing because people spend too long fiddling with bags in those cramped seats. The omnimover belt is too short and cars too obtuse to not offer them.

Unfortunately, they decided to squish all of Nintendo into a neat cube shape, so no space for lockers. Or better bathrooms. Wa-hoo.

I recently came back from a trip and I loved pretty much all of SNW but yeah, Yoshi just seemed like a huge error in judgement. There is nothing wrong with it in concept but the ride system is so janky and poorly executed from the short load platform to the restrictive ride vehicles to the terrible capacity to the comically short length, it's all such a head-scratcher. Isn't the appeal of using this type of ride system the high capacity and reliability? Big fail there.

The buttons on all the ride vehicles (I rode multiple times) are already waterlogged with droplets appearing behind the plastic and at least half of the buttons were just outright not working. Even the one indoor show scene was completely broken with all elements entirely motionless on all my rides.

All the said the rest of the land is an A+. The biggest shock for me of the entire trip was how much I thoroughly enjoyed the Mario Kart ride. Maybe it's because I was prepared for a slow-moving dark ride from these forums so my expectations were in check regarding the speed but I had more and more fun each time I rode. Despite the lack of acceleration and a few other questionable choices it's still an immersive dark ride that only improves with each ride.

I love the Yoshi ride. It was a few months ago so maybe I got lucky and did not experience any ride deterioration at that point. An interesting line to be held: ops getting better vs. elements failing. May you all have good luck with that!

It is quite a short ride, wish it was longer, but a lot of reviews miss the fact that the big scene is looking over the land itself. That part is awesome!
