Can anyone confirm that’s ridden both the Hollywood and Orlando versions of Mario Kart if the AR is any better on the Orlando version. I remember reading somewhere that Orlando’s was going to use upgraded tech.

I've ridden all 3 versions (Orlando, Hollywood and Japan) and honestly... I can't tell a difference lol. The only thing maybe is the caps fit better? Usually the cap for me is always slipping off my head but I haven't had that issue yet at EU.

Just wanted to pop in here and say we went yesterday for AP previews for the first time and my 5 year old daughter did not want to leave SNW. We did Berk for a couple hours then right back to SNW. Her favorite ride: Yoshi.

I LOVED the Donkey Kong area as a 35 year old millennial. Wow wow wow did we have a great time.

This land alone will finance the next 10 years of UOR development.

Hey ! I was wondering, what is under Peach's castle at SNW at EU (and maybe USJ) ? Is it a guest-accessible area ? Looks like there is a lot of space there considering the area over it.

It looks like Donkey Kong has made his first appearance at Epic Universe! He looks a bit different than the Japan version below:

Open mouth vs closed mouth. I don't have any insider details here, but my guess would be that the open mouth allows for more visibility and ventilation, the latter of which being especially important in the Orlando heat.

He also looks fuzzier, which is a lot more in line with the textures of how he appears in his new game.

He also seems to have a huge hunch behind his head that doesn’t seem to be there in the Japanese version. The shoulders are also completely wrong. For me it’s quite literally “Donkey Kong at home.” The Japanese version is a perfect translation open mouth or not.

No one's going to want to hear this, but I'm guessing, as with the mouth, these adjustments were made so that the character performers can endure the Orlando heat and humidity. I wouldn't be shocked if the shoulders are differently shaped to be less arduous on the performers and that the bump in back is to accommodate a cooling pack (or something along those lines). This costume appears to be very consistent with the construction of the Kung Fu Panda Po costume, which is notorious for being hard on performers.

So maybe change the meet and greet so that it’s inside the cave under the treehouse.

Doesn’t Japan get hot and humid I mean it’s on an island ?

I see nothing wrong with the changes personally as they look really similar in my opinion.

Ahh yes, The perfect way to block the Central Florida humidity.

Back of House, a little bit of Toadstool, Escalators, and Elevator access. It's all in use.

By being inside? Yes. What I’m suggesting is that they actually built a fully indoor meet and greet under the tree house. Change the design of the land to better accommodate.

Nowhere near to the extent (or length of time) that it does in Orlando. It gets chilly (by Orlando standards anyway) for a good part of the year.

You do realize that Clive was pointing out more than just heat as a problem, right? So, you want them to invest millions of dollars and change the layout of the land simply because you don't like a couple of changes that only a handful of people will notice, which was possibly done to improve the comfort of the performer? You realize that sounds crazy, right? haha

I think it looks good. The Japan versions torso hangs funny, this new version looks to have solved that.

I've noticed the arms seem to be less cumbersome.

Orlando's version definitely doesn't look as good but if id never seen Japan's version or it didn't exist this would be as impressive as the first time i saw Japan's.
