I haven't done it early in the morning practically since it opened, but based on semi-recent social media I've been seeing, yes, they make you wait in the Transformers extended queue until early entry is over. But would also be curious to hear about more recent, first hand experience.

So we got into the front entrance around 7:30. We were ushered toward Transformers queue by the Nintendo tunnel and were let in right at 8am. Hopped into line for Mario Kart right away and got on the ride about 8:40am. By 9am the wait was already 120 min.

The sign was definitely taken down, and while the first half of the building seems to be done, the second half (where the NY street actors would speak out the windows) is is heavy construction. But yeah, haven't heard any intel at all.

Although it is noteworthy they're keeping it NY street. A lot of us (even myself) doubted NY Street would be sticking around, but USH seems to be doubling down on it.

You would think after all these years of HHN construction, you would save the obvious signage for later? Lol

But yeah I'm honestly disappointed they're doubling-down on the NY theming. It needs a quick reskin to the Art Deco style. It looks so out-of-place.

You could argue it's vaguely a continuation (or start, depending on your point of view) of the Pet's area, which is also themed to NY.

On Busy days yes

I think after the Holidays are over until spring break they should not have to use it, unless there is some random event where too many people show up

I would love to know the reason for that sign going up...like that

Am I the only person who thinks it looks all old and faded?

I stopped by the park very briefly this morning, and while I didn't actually make it to the lower lot, there was signage on the upper lot that SNW did require virtual reservations to get in today. And when I check on the app at noon, it said they were all gone, but maybe more would be added later in the day. The park was sold out today, and felt very crowded.

Link to my Bluesky post with a pic of the sign:

Short updates from Universal Studios Hollywood. Virtual reservations inside for SNW (which were gone as of noon, but lore may be added), Eve decor, NY Cafe, FaF construction.

Gonna wait until the New Year starts before going back to any theme parks. Don’t know why anyone would want to pay top dollar to be miserable. It’s not worth it

I mean, if people are in from out of town, or it's your only time off work, there's not much option in those situations. Realistically, the majority of park guests are casual visitors, not enthusiasts who may be more savvy about such things.

I’ve said this before somewhere but I’ll never understand people not looking into things

It’s called the internet, takes like 10 mins to look up the crowd levels and or look up questions and see these forms of really telling you what’s going on

I’ll just never understand paying hundreds if not thousands of dollars and not understanding the bssic

Example would be like when I went to New Orleans for the first time, I looked up restaurants, entertainment and places to visit. Heck I even found 3 things to do on my drive down to it from Texas….well 4 of you count seeing Baton Rouge on my way back. So I’ll never understand how people do things but don’t know anything about the places they are paying to go to

I generally a planner too, but it's just not how everybody works. Lot and lots of people go spontaneously, without any real planning at all. That's part of the fun for many people--makes it an adventure.

Heck, sometimes, I'll be surprised with some unexpected time off, and I'll just spontaneously go and do something. Or sometimes I'm traveling, and I'll run across something that didn't pop up in my research. If it interests me, I'll often give it a go, even if I don't know much about it. It happens to all of us sometimes.

Most people do research but do it anyways because they have too. School is a big one. I know with kids that every time I can vacation so can a million other people with kids. I can pull my kids from school, but not everyone can as their child really needs to be in school. I also can't always for certain reasons. Like I need to avoid major testing years or first year of K before I know how well my kids do. My oldest is in middle and really dislikes missing school and making up work. So week long would be hard for her right now. It wouldn't effect her grade, but also it would stress her out to have a stack of work.

I also have been going to Uni since I got AP for my kids for Christmas. We were well aware of the crowds and planned ahead for them the best we could. But I wasn't going to sit on APs when my kids were excited after opening it. So we went this week and will also go next week. I don't regret it.

I plan to go to Dollywood over Thanksgiving. I am planning ahead and want to stay at the hotel that gives timesaver passes so that it won't be as bad. Just like I got the express after 4 AP for Uni.

Not everyone is like that. I'm not like that for example, I prefer spontaneous travel.

Spontaneous is great, but not when you're booking a vacation that costs thousands of dollars. You should have some idea of at least the basics before you go. The park apps and blogs have taken a lot of the guess work out of it.

Tried to go on MK on Saturday because the crowds were low from the rain but ride broke down and they just snaked the line from the ride through the land, my suggestion would be to open up more Q even if the ride is down....people werent leaving the line because it was down so better then filling the land with extra people

Went on it yesterday, single rider took maybe 12 mins while the line got to 100 mins.
Also a sign at least said Toad was full and that was 90 mins after the park opened (and no the rest of the park was not busy, so impressive)

Park doesnt pen until 9 AM, will post line times here later (checked times ride got to 100 mins by the time the park opened)

Just had the Fire Flower Spaghetti. I'm sad to report they nerfed the spice of the arrabbiata sauce.

Man, the GP is full of wimps. :@
