Well, how did they deal with Kong when it first opened? I'm sure it had its technical issues the first year or so. What would they do for the guests in the event it wasn't working when their tram got to that point in the tour?

From what I remember, they just issued priority boarding passes that were good for either the studio tour or another ride of their choice. But it's still not the best or most realistic "apologetic" perk for missing the animation, as it had you go through the entire tour all over again.

Express Trams are the way to go.

Last wednesday, nothing was working on the park. It was trully an awful day. JP malfunctioning, Waterworld, and Kong was too. When i got to the tour they got an express tour just for Kong. So if it is down they do an express one when it's up and running for you just to see that attraction...

So they'll definitely be doing that for F&F then. So next year, we'll have the standard day Studio Tour, the special night studio tour, and express trams. What I'm curious about though is if they'll only run express trams for those who couldn't go through F&F initially during the main day tour, or if they'll also have an all day F&F/Kong Express Tram. But I have a bad feeling that if they offer an all day express tram that there will be less guests going on the regular tour, which is a pity. But on the other hand, it majorly increases park ride capacity!

How to do it efficiently though.

Just saw this on the AP website. 50th to be "celebrated" in 2015.

Yeah, they're revising history but what can you do? As long as they do something, I'm good.

Dirt tours of Potter in 4K-360 4D. 4D effects include getting mud on your shoes, getting hit in the head by a stray steel beam, smelling paint dry on the facades and splashes of water of course.

It needs to be in 16K or I'm not going.

We can compromise by making it a Christopher Walken themed Grab-N-Go in Hogwarts Castle.

Also, so we don't send this thread into complete oblivion, a closure on the Studio Tour roads lets the tram drive right by Supercharged so pictures will be much easier to come by.

I see it more as a continuation of the celebration that started THIS year, sort of like how DDisneyland's 50th anniversary was celebrated for a few years. So I see it as that sort of thing.

Reading that F&F is supposed to be a "mega attraction" actually makes me very excited, as it's probably more than just PR talk!

Oh priority boarding PASSES.

Yeah, that was expected. Your wording and mention of F&F confused me, as if they're testing that as well.

It's essentially time return passes. That's being tested in anticipation of Potter & F&F. Japan has a return time to enter the land as well.

I'm very curious how this will work for the studio tour, if it will affect the wait time for people with Premium Passes and Gate A, etc.

Also, for the record (and we've mentioned this multiple, multiple, multiple times) it'd be preferred if we don't advertise and don't mention anything having to do with USHToday on Inside Universal. Ever. Thanks.

Studio Tour passes have been done since the mid 90's when I was young.  This is standard for heavy guest projection days.  Fact is, this park has not been this busy, nor has the Studio Tour seen this much activity since the 1990's.  I can imagine this will push the tour to another location in the park to hold a larger queue.  Remember the current tour queue was extended for Kong 360 in 2010.  Stage 28 anyone???

Be careful with "the site that should not be named" and their interpretation of current events.  Although we are not always perfect, I like to believe that IU has a stronger sense of knowledge behind its belt.

When I was at the park last time, I noticed the site where 28 once stood was completely paved over. There was no room or any holes left for some major steel structures. I think there might be some weight to the new tram location rumor I heard.

Last time I was at the park last week, JP seemed to be just fine, but the Mummy was brutally malfunctioning with practically none of the animatronics working.  The mummy was quite awesome when it first opened, but has practically gone downhill since.  Makes me wonder if it'll survive after Wizarding World opens.

There's a large façade under works for F&F. Hard to tell what it was when I saw it last, but it covers up the entrance side of the building from bottom to top and extends a bit on the sides (very similar to Kong).
