The Institute on MGM+ is a new series based on Stephen King's 2019 novel. When the book came out he said, I am a big fan of Stranger Things, but this is how I would have written it. It is dark and disturbing. The first 2 episodes came out last week. I thought Episode 1 was solid. Episode 2 is character building but good.

Episode 3 came out today ...here we go. Buckle up buttercup, we're in for a hell of a ride.

MGM+ has a deal going for $.99 for 2 months.

Do it.

MGM+ has some sneaky good series. Beacon 23 and From are both fantastic and The Institute is pretty good (though some of the aging of characters isn’t what I imagined from the book).

They aged up the kids because they thought what they do to them would be too much for the audience on a 12 year old.

For some reason I can't edit the above post so I will double post, sorry.

They not only adged up the kids, but when reading the book I thought the "cop" looked more like Hopper from Stranger Things. Not HOT guy. But I like him.
