I mean in a good way its basically the same attraction. I think some of the extra themeing in the top area is just....because and doesn't really do anything but make the spots seem busy but overall this is one of the good times when a company can't just redo everything and make it worst. So happy when I come back one day this attraction will most likley still be my favorite

Yeah, this seems like a solid refresh. It's nothing fundamentally different from the original, but they've successfully modernized an exhibit that had good bones but was showing its age. I like that there's a lot to look at, including in the hallway area that used to be totally dead space. Everywhere now has some sort of animated, energetic element, and everywhere has the same "diet SeaWorld Abu Dhabi" vibe that makes the jellyfish exhibit appealing. And as a bonus for the business (and guests with money), they've even found a way to monetize the attraction with a new upcharge experience that doesn't take anything away from the main exhibit.

Note if they could do something like this for the Penguins that would be great too. The Penguins is also really great but for sure would not mind them adding more to the viewing area above the moving path

I have to imagine a new penguin encounter is the next big project. Much of it is closed off or boarded up at this point, and the rest of it is looking rough anyway. I keep hoping if I suggest a new penguin encounter next to Emperor enough times on these forums that SeaWorld will do it just to shut me up, just like they did with the flying theater in Orlando

With the penguin encounter, the building is in much worse shape than the shark encounter was, and basically needs to be gutted down to the frame or fully replaced, so I doubt that the penguin project will just be a renovation its much more likely a replacment. I would love a new penguin encounter, but it won't be cheap. I also know that they had plans that were rejected by the Coastal Commission.

In some random updates around the park the water is back under the pond at the base of the tower there’s even more new water and fog effects on journey to Atlantis (they fixed the flooding effect in the room before the elevator) a new permanent face paint area next to the dolphin amphitheater has been built a good amount of new signage has been installed around the park, The penguins are on there last legs clearly on there way out with the puffin exhibit boarded up and walkway not working the new nighttime animal shows are great Same with the renovated shark exhibit and the land based shows are fine. But operations are still atrocious with ride operators that are not in any hurry to dispatch and SeaWorld not running rides to their full capacity. The park has really been a mixed bag as of late.

I'm definitely glad to hear about water reappearing at the base of the tower, that was so very long overdue. But those ride ops are just so very terrible. There is so much potential in this park, but in the last few years it's been two steps forward and three steps back.
