It's an existing font -- JulianaJoy -- but they added a few flourishes to it to make it seem not so off-the-shelf.

Maybe I'm reading too much into it but I find it interesting it now says "Coming 2016" rather than "Coming Summer 2016" as other promotional stuff as said.

I've also noticed from the permit site that their Engineering Permit applied for back on October 29, 2014 has had to have been sent back and revised 3 times since then, with some categories still receiving a "DISA" from the city, as recent as a week ago(I'm assuming "DISA" stands for "Disapprove"). Maybe this is common, I don't know, but I looked through Cabana's permits and didn't see anything where they had trouble getting permits approved.

THe logo is sexy. can't wait to stay here. I had plans on getting married at Uni in the upcoming years and wanted my partner and I to stay at the portifino and my guest at the Royal Pacific where the wedding is going to be. Depending on how well they execute this hotel....i just might have to change my plans.

Yep. They dug down for the canal for the boats, then butted the back side of this into the hill they made.

No, no. It's below grade. Sheet piling all along the back side of what you see. But the front side is deeper for the boat canal.

1,000 rooms, of which 77 will be Suites. By their description, they sound more like full blown suites than "Family Suites".
