I hope 13th Floor improved on the criticisms from last year.

Yeah, @Jake S and I managed to have a good time *despite* the obstacles the event put in our way, not because of the event’s inherent strengths. Definitely potential there, but the nickel and diming ($18 before tip for a beer?), inconsistent staffing/show direction, and arbitrary closing times would need to show signs of improvement before I’d consider returning.

Yeah, the event had some good stuff (performers were often having a lot of fun, shows were fun, the boat is big and spooky) but they clearly struggled with the logistics of running such a big event. And charging $18 for a tall can of beer is a crime.

My issue with 13th floor is the lack of scare actors to cover certain spots in mazes. The Party City/Spirit Halloween animatronics messed up some of the sections you walk through. The storytelling inside each maze was inconsistent which never was the issue with Epic Entertainment.

Not just food/drinks, but all the extras outside of houses being an upcharge. I couldn't believe that the top tier express ticket didn't have rides access. That just seemed dumb.

Don't even get me started on staffing. I went through the stupid clown house 4 times & never once was the icon present. *sigh*

Okay, so Dark Harbor isn't back to it's pre-Covid glory days lol.

Didn't go last year but considering it this year for my haunt dance card.

It never was going to be under 13 Productions.

Was it fun? Yes.
Was it forgettable? Also yes.
Did I ever post photos for last year? Nope. Not yet. Should be up by 2026's haunt season

And if you get in on their presale, the tickets are relatively inexpensive. The most expensive part of the event for me was:

1) beer
2) beer
3) uber
4) beer
5) gas to get to long beach
6) beer

The wild part was finding parking. It used to be easy to park on the street and get on the shuttle that takes you to the event and back. They should’ve informed customers in advance through the website.
