Looks like the first two shows last night were cancelled. Any idea of the 11/12:30 show got cancelled as well?

I attended the 11 PM show, which was not cancelled, and when I walked by after Fallout and Galkn, they were running the 12:30 show, so it seems like an anomaly.

That said, they were PACKING people in as a result. The attendants chewed out a person sitting behind me who wasn't thigh to thigh with the people next to him. It was...less comfortable than I would have liked.

I do not envy the operations challenge that this show poses, but I can't get over how uncomfortable I find the whole thing as a guest.

The show is fantastic, but it's a miserable experience getting in/out.

For starters, they don't sit you until 15 mins prior to showtime backs up the entire area. Often times the queue will stretch through London with no TMs informing guests if they will make it in. Once they open up the gates, it's a tight pinch that feels like you are suffocating. Not great.

It's also hot (even without the fire effects) with no proper ventilation and how packed it gets, so it's a bit of a hazard for guests IMO.

When I saw it on Sunday (9:30 show), the line was over near the Knight Bus. We had no clue if we were gonna make, but we made it to the very back row on the right side (perfect for an easy exit, though!).

They really need to have a TM with a sign showing where the back of the line is because it can get messy.

Seems like a sure sign they could use another high quality show, yeah? Demand is clearly there for it.

Everytime we do this show, I say to my wife "There has to be a better way to do this."

Could they open it up earlier, maybe 30 minutes prior to the showtime? Just let people go straight into the theater and choose where they sit? Then cut it off 5 minutes before showtime.

That's really all I can think of.

Unfortunately, this is the way they’ve done it for 30 years because this is the best way to do it. The amount of people attending each show cannot allow a “free for all” seating system because it would take twice as long telling everyone to squeeze in anyway. They also have to seat tours before general (tours sit 30 minutes prior) because free for all seating would inevitably cause general seating guests to clog the aisles and block reserved seats. That slows everything down even more.

I didn't really think about the tours - I didn't realize they came in so much earlier!

Also I should have clarified, by "choose where they sit" I didn't really mean a free-for-all, just pick a side to enter the theater and a row lol

I agree they should bite the bullet and add another big show. Even having Ghoulish this year made it feel like the walkways were a little less congested. (smart to have both shows going at the same time sometimes)

I love shows though.

I really enjoyed this show. Even if its hot and the bleachers are not very comfortable (my back is f***ed from years of moving furniture) it is still nice to sit down and be blasted with music and lights and fire (oh my). Especially if you can time it right and grab some food and beer to eat and drink while you are waiting for them to herd the cattle into the pen.

This particular trip I was under the influence of some *candy* which helped with the sensory overload and stress of getting in and out so it really seems like I floated in, watched dancers play with fire and do acrobatics, floated out, and then went through Wyatt Sicks again literally 15 minutes after walking out of Nightmare Fuel.

10/10 experience and I would gladly trade going through a house for another really cool halloween show where I can sit down.

But that is me speaking as somebody who can nearly always get all of the houses out of the way (without express!) on my first night of the event and then spend the next two nights that I am in town enjoying the zones, shows, food, and redoing houses I enjoyed enough the first time.

Sidebar but I know there has been arguments that adding another house would not fix capacity/crowd issues, but would a show on the level of Nightmare Fuel not help out a little?

Something's been going on, all of Sunday's shows were cancelled and a good chunk of the shows throughout all of last week were cancelled.

My best guess is injury or illness has impacted key members of the cast, and they do not have sufficient available swings/understudies. No insider info here, pure speculation.

I was just wondering how many replacements this show had. Seems like with the way the fanbase is (similar to AOV) a lot of people know many of the individual performers rather than them being replaceable cogs in a machine.

There's still a lot of Covid going around right now and a huge spike in Noro so that'd be my guess too. I know performers tend to all get it at once due to dressing/break rooms being cramped in my experience.

The 12:30 show had an understudy for the dreamer, also had an alternative ending where the falling platform onto the spikes set piece wasn't used and instead put the nightmare queen in the box with the moving saw
