I guess I just don't get why anyone has expectations for a no upcharge summer "event" like this. Even the "good" events are basically just food festivals that exist to suck money out of guests' wallets. I'm not saying those aren't fun — they are! But I wouldn't be "disappointed" if any of these seasonal events didn't happen.
i know you said you don't care for Knotts or Sea Worlds extra Entertainment
But I still appreciate the summers feels like events
Knotts has during the Day Ghost Town Alive which is like a Fan Zone with 20+ characters roaming the land, with mini shows and moments (plus a show in the bird cage theater)
At Night they have a DJ, and three extra bands and if bands aren't that impressive or expensive then why has USH only had one Live band in the past 5 years and at Fan Fest?
As For Sea World they have new day time shows, from the animal show in the in doors theater. Plus they have the Pirate show at the Bay, Drone Show, The Dolphin, Sea Lion, and Orca Show both have a Day time and Nighttime version. BMX show that has both Live Music and people on Bikes doing tricks and DJs. Also they do Summer Concerts with real bands
Disneyland has fireworks, paint the night and the Star Wars projection show, Plus the Stich Dance Party which is basically a DJ. DCA only has WOC and the Kids show dance party but we've talked about how its insane how under used DCA is used when they have the bay area they could do concerts at, the Hollywood stage isn't being used for bands and Hyperion Theater being empty is a joke.
DC Hero's and Villains event has a mini parade, 2 dance shows that aren't just 5 mins (20 mins full shows) and happen on a stage. Along with multiple other shows, plus a DJ. Along with meet and greets but if you go to the DC area its 3-4 hours of straight up entertainment in a row, plus the park is open until 10 PM all summer.
USH is the HP show, and they added two new street shows and once of which they consider so small they don't even have times on the app. Along with Meet and greets like Wicked and Jaws.
Like maybe it would really break the bank but feels like even doing just the nighttime Tram with some Projection shows in Little Europe and the Back to the Future set and add the the Fleetwood RV Mobile Lab featured in The Lost World: Jurassic Park to the section in the backside of NY street after you exit Kong would be nice and at least give one ride a day and night version.
Plus we have two theaters we know they can set up with a second show up if need be, like I said even a behind the scenes show would have been cool in Dreamworks, have some props in the Q area, show behind the scenes the making of The Odyssey, Disclosure Day, the Minions and Forgotten Island and have something going on in Water World, like a live band even with some fireworks at the end.
My idea's would break the band, I get it but I just doubt doing some extra shows and the nighttime Tram would really cost too much and just would feel like they are trying and also giving you more reason's to stay the night, It feels like people forget we lost 2 shows for the coaster and we never even tried to replace them
(also for Extra Context, Disneyland tickets 200 Dollars, USH tickets are on Average 150 Dollars, Six Flags 55 Dollars, Knotts 70 Dollars and Sea World 80ish Dollars)
