An unusual kind of zone that actually works best when it's fully crowded and slammed with people. The concept of interpreting the Phantom of the Opera Masquerade scene as a zone is legitimately ingenious. The total chaos and confusion on who is dangerous and who is innocent. The zone is successful in selling that pitch, with the huge chandelier crashed onto the middle stage and regal costuming driving it home.
The performers give a ton of energy, and it's really fun to see them dance together, brood around or hunt the victims actors, and just have fun out there. Speaking of, the victim scareactors really give it their all here in a way that I haven't seen much before! Some performers will mumble frantically in your ear unexpectedly or point their hand from fully behind you. Lots of great work done here.
Stages are really deeply tied to Origins / Artista with more stained glass of Gargoyles, cats, bats, and crows. The stages themselves are fine, but leave a little to be desired. There is only one show moment, and it's a cool one, but it's short and once you've seen it, you've seen it haha. The mask concept is also underutilized by the performers in my opinion, which is only really an issue in theory. In practice, they get far better scares by not bothering with them much.
The aesthetic here doesn't speak to me much personally, and the overly slow music loop doesn't help, but a great concept and solid performances elevate this one a lot. Great zone here!
