Maybe a hybrid concept where it could technically be based on both? But yea, this new movie is gonna be a huge hit, (and may only be the first of a new trilogy,) so they're gonna wanna have this tie into it for sure.

EDIT: Fun Fact - Mary Poppins Returns will have the longest gap between live-action film sequels in history at 54 years.

I wonder if a Pooh/Christopher Robin concept was ever on the table, what with the movie and UK tie in it must have been discussed. I know we alreadt have a Pooh ride but something more Christopher Robin orientated could have been a fun idea too.

...so like, an AA Ewan MacGregor? I think they would redo MK's ride before that.

As in Mr. Toad's Wild Ride? I'd be totally on board for that.

So a classic dark ride, using the layout of Mr. Toads with Mary Poppins?

I am curious, but at the same time worried that they'd cheap out with what they use for Mr. Toad for "figures".

Maybe Marvel poops out a new superhero: Mister Stiff Upper-lip. The IP will not be connected to Universal so they can do whatever they want with it in Epcot.

Since you've stopped by to say hi in other threads, figured it worth asking... anything happening on this front @Marni1971?

That's the Debbie Downer news of the day. I'd rather see the gardens untouched instead of a carnival flat squeezed in.

While personally I enjoy Epcot's subtle beauty and charm, Epcot really needs more things for kids to do, especially on that half of the world showcase.

If it must be a spinner, while I would prefer a dark ride, so be it.

A proper carousel makes 100x more sense.

I was hoping for the play area they put together for Flower and Gardens, it screams current Disney quality but I guess they are going for a reused flat ride from Sea World or maybe even a new one.

Seriously. A carousel fits the IP and adds to the quiet ambiance of that side of the park.

Leave the screaming in Future World.

A dark ride would be the better option so I’m hoping they go through with that instead of some flat ride.

You know I’ll come out and say no on this.

Epcot is a lot like USF in that all the attractions* are indoors based. They need something out door and smaller in scale to balance out the offerings.

*Test Track and it’s 20 seconds outside not withstanding
