Totally. F&F is a great theme for a rollercoaster, but based on ride profile and terrain, I just think it's going to be hard to make one back there that's as cool and fits the theme (i.e., does it feel at all like driving) as well as what they're doing in Hollywood. My thoughts are based on the AmusementInsider POV (which takes into consideration footers, but is certainly no guarantee of final design), and the general vibe of the area they're working with. But look at Mummy-- it's not like they've never given one coast the better version of a ride before.
I can understand why Universal wants to keep pushing an IP that's been so lucrative for them, though the franchise really is in a weird spot right now based on Vin's involvement/control and the bloated, messy nature of the last production. I'm imagining and hoping the queue for the USH ride will show us some cool cars and just put us in a garage like the beginning of the Supercharged line, but will skip direct actor involvement so it can fit with whatever the franchise's Vin-free future might be.
No inside info seems to suggest this, but it would be funny if they decided to just keep the USF ride in the "Hollywood Dream" and HRRR franchise and delivered a lightly themed entry land coaster. Stardust Racers seems to be doing great with it's minimal theming (but incredible design). Maybe a big coaster is the one thing they can sell without an IP. And without a bunch of scenic upgrades, you'll be riding past soundstages more than you're riding through "New York."
