HHN 2025: Tips, Tricks & Planning Thread

I highly, highly recommend waiting to hit Terrifier until a bit after 6:30 (but before 6:50). It may seem counter-intuitive, but if this weekend was anything to go by, everyone with early entry on the upper lot by that time will have waited for Terrifier and moved on to Poltergeist (or raced to the lower lot to try for Jason or Five Nights).

When we arrived on our RIP tour around 6:40 or so, the Terrifier queue was empty, but Poltergeist had an easy 20-25 minute line. By the time we finished our runs of Terrifier and Poltergeist, the general admission folks had arrived, putting Terrifier at a 50-minute wait and climbing. It's a narrow window, but it can save you a lot of time.

I'd save Five Nights for last using this strategy if you're okay skipping the chainsaw chase-out.

I second this, except I hit FNAF first. I think if I recall I got in line about 5:45 and left the house at 6:45 or so. We raced to the upper lot to do Terrifier and got in about five minutes before general opened. By the time I left Terrifier and entered Poltergeist, I could see the mob descend upon the Terrifier queue.

If you can't make FNAF due to the queue being too long, get Terrifier in before opening and then do FNAF last.

I think if you have EA, and are there early enough to be front in line hit FNAF and then Terrifier and go from there

Welp, we were planning on doing Early Entry this upcoming Sunday and then Thursday the 18th... As of today, they're sold out. We're getting FFPs, but considering I'd rather leap headlong off a building than go on a Friday or Saturday, looks like we're just gonna go for a few hours and do whatever is short each time and do an EE in October for FNAF and Terrifier. If you're dragging your feet on getting an Early Entry pass, jump on it now.

It sucks, too, because with our APs, we were just gonna be in the park early to get our EE wristbands ahead of the EE crowd themselves, as we do every year, so a single tear is gonna be rolling down my cheek watching everyone walk past us to go get in lines we're forbidden from.

I think you’ll be good. Half of the GP who come to horror nights mainly care about getting drunk then doing two houses and the Mummy.

Question for those who have gone this year and years before What time do you line up and they let you in for the 2 PM entry?

I have friends coming and since I have an AP I never have to use that system but should they be in line 30 mins before? Or longer? Also are they strict and its at 2...or do they let you in a few mins early? Thank you

Hi! Longtime forum lurker here. I'm going to be visiting HHN this Thursday on the 11th, I have Early Entry on my ticket but no Express. Would it be feasible to hit all mazes, shows, and the Terror Tram while leaving some room to get dinner and also wander? I saw the wait times last weekend were pretty intense, but it was the opening weekend and I'll be going on a weekday, so maybe waits will be a little less crazy overall? Would also appreciate any tips on optimal house order if anyone has them, thank you!

You probably won't have time to wander AND see both Chainsaw Man & Purge. With GA, seeing Chainsaw Man could legit take up an hour of your night with a 30 minute line and then a 20 minute show -- skip it unless this is high on your anticipation list. I def think you can hit all the mazes though and a QUICK dinner (30-45 minutes or less). My recommendation is start with Terrifer and Poltergeist - those lines were ridiculous all night long. You can hit all 4 of the lower lot mazes, if all else fails, in the final 30 minutes back to back with no wait -- that's half of the event in one swoop. Start with WWE (this will be short no matter what time tbh), then Jason, then FNAF. Maybe wait out Scarecrow earlier in the night to be safe for the easier version of the final 30 minute lower lot crawl.

You get to enter the park early but you don't get to enter the houses early unless you have early entry

I was debating if I do go again, it’d probably be Nov 1st or 2nd for the least amount of crowds, but I don’t want to swing for Express or even Early Entry. I know a fairly easy way to hit the lower lot, upper lot is not much of a problem, neither is the tram, but my biggest concern is when would be the best time to hit Terrifier/Poltergeist? Even at 7pm, would that still be the best time to hit it? I’d be saving the lower lot for the last hour, so hitting it last would be a bit out of the question.

Express is sold out all weekends except for the last one too. What the hell, this year is crazy. Or maybe they saw how bad the first two weekends were, realized they've been overselling, and decided to just cap them where they're at for now.

I think they panicked and did oversell since I heard a lot of in person Express passes were non existent due to the online cap being hit. There needs to be some in park flexibility

I'm going tonight, and this time we plan on using our APs to be in the park ahead of close, but since this is my first year going with no EA ticket (again), how are they dealing with AP holders with no wristbands? (I'm aware that we won't be able to do houses without a wristband; I just wanna know if we should expect to be showing employees our FFP on our phones to avoid being asked to leave as a result.)

EDIT: My wristband says “Access to houses begins at 5:30” and I don’t see anyone else with a wristband on that’s a different color than mine. I think you might be able to do EA after all! No guarantees but try it!

EDIT 2: Showed them my wristband entering FNAF. It worked!!!!! Apparently your AP is the equivalent of the day/night combo ticket and you can get EA for the houses. New hack unlocked!

Genuinely curious now, EA with no additional charge? Christ what a hidden hack. Mind seeing if SNW access also works? It's the main reason my group settled for 2PM Combo tickets. If it doesn't though, then it seems like I still got the value of that. Though if your pass is platinum, then never mind. That probably explains it.

Aside from that, as I mentioned in the Fallout thread, For houses I think I'm only doing FNAF, Fallout, and maybe Poltergeist. Everything else looked too nightmarish/gory and/or in your face for my liking, so I think I should be golden doing just those three and the shows.

I just wonder how has Poltergeist been across the board, especially since I glanced at some other comments noting how it's also gotten high.

Coincidentally, I was also at the park just for the daytime stuff today but I managed to get some foresight and apparently they allow EA people to line up for FNAF as early as 4:20, but it also varies, so YMMV.

I think it might be worth adding WWE into your rotation if you get braver throughout the night. The line will be short, it's not too gory, and I'd say just about the same level of scariness as Fallout and Poltergeist. Oh and also Terror Tram -- that's usually a cake walk.
