2 days for Premium Scream is interesting. Wonder if that means they're actually cutting down on attendance and want to make up for it with 2 nights.

Select houses opening at 2p is also kinda huge. Assuming a couple of the big IP houses will open that early, an extra 3ish hours of operating time will hopefully really help with the wait times.

Actually, I suspect the early house opening is clever way to boost day of sales for the event. Now there’s something daytime guests *can’t* experience while they’re there unless they pay.

RIP continues to be the most efficient option.

As someone who has complained about Universal operating HHN like the "pasttime", I'm glad to see them implement new procedures. No secret that stay & scream had become a bore in previous years with the demand the event has seen and now it'll have a better experience and advantage.

Last year was the first year S&S had no real advantage. Lots of complaints of folks waiting in Terrifier/FNAF, only to then be stuck in line way beyond the event's opening time.

This is the way to go. As long as they properly staff the houses from the start, I'm 100% onboard with this!

Stay and Scream last year was the worst. They spaced out the openings where it really wasn't an advantage anywhere. It was very frustrating when you're trying to optimize that time

The site is broken at the moment. You can select different quantity amounts and they'll show up. Weird bug they have to fix.

Absolutely not. The only thing that changed was bands, otherwise basically the same set up.

The set up was fine. The staggering opening times really were a big downgrade. It wasn't really possible maximize your time like you could in the past. For example, the previous year, you could do Monsters and Goblin's Feast back to back because they both opened at the same time-ish. Not the case for 34. And Terrifier not opening at the same time as Five Nights was also a big drawback. So if you started with Five Nights, instead of getting into a Terrifier line that has already been diminished due to the house being open, you just got behind everyone that had already started in line for that house. It wasn't the advantage it had been in all previous years for me

Can I ask what your route was with time codes? Only way I found it manageable was waiting for Galkn at 5:45 and then hitting Fallout after once the S&S crowd was able to die down. By the time I finished Fallout, the park got busy.

I can see the tickets tab online, but when I click on this it brings me to what seems to be the ticket page, but no actual link to see the options? I'm waiting for frequent fear with express (hopefully!) but I had to be in QUICK the past 2 years to get them - had they gone on sale today I think I would have been out of luck! Wonder if it's because I'm not in the US? Also tried app and nada for me

Do I appreciate every attempt to lower lines? Of course, it's the biggest issue with the event. But ... Devil's advocate:
  • 13-hour shifts has to mean a third shift of actors--that's three full casts extra now (with the option to add more). I'm not sure Orlando can supply that. I'm not sure UOR is truly willing to pay for that. I kind of assumed the shift to less staffing in houses was to free up actors for an 11th house, but maybe it was this.
  • 2020 taught us that lines in Summer mid-day heat are no joke. Ops better be ready to do a lot of extra prep here. And what a lousy way to go through a house from a guest perspective.
  • More esoteric, but starting at 2 pm destroys the mystique. An August Saturday afternoon is neither Halloween nor a night. The perception is that the event is less adult as well, when it's covered in the halo of daytime ops.
  • Finally, this is Orlando, no one has a real job. There will be lines for the top two houses forming by noon every day, largely defeating the purpose. (This is assuming any AP can get in line, that it's not paywalled to S&S--seen no confirmation one way or the other.)
I will say this and something else this week I can't discuss seem to be a tell--UOR is terrified of pricing out its casual customer base. The superfans will drop over a grand, but a 1-night ticket remains well under $100. Contrast with WDW and $200 for a single night at peak. A brief peek into corporate culture over there.

Do we expect the 2pm houses to only be available for those that buy the Scream Early ticket or will it be open to all day guests that have both a park ticket and an HHN ticket?
