Well then, we're in for a spec season, aren't we?

With the rumor of Fortnite/Fortnitemares, that's definitely a new one. But would I be fine with it as a zone? Honestly, yeah! Yes, it's a bonkers idea. But there are characters in that series I wouldn't mind seeing brought to life (e.g., Dire), and if they can add some other Horror IP's or their own into it, overall I can see this being a fun zone. And for me I feel the fun zones generally fair better at the event, cuz' that's exactly what zones like KKfOS, Sweet Revenge, The Vamp zones, Toxic Twenties and Cat Lady on Crooked Lane have been for me.

And I get it, this is an IP that's not going to be for everyone. And that's perfectly fine, we all have our different tastes. If Fortnite is not your thing, well let's take a look at the other rumored IP's this year...

And that's just the rumored IP's, there's also the originals which could tickle your fancy. If ya' see something you like, great! Be happy and excited for those rumors, don't let any IP that's not your thing throw you into a tizzy about the event. Personally, I'm not big on Stranger Things, but that's an insignificant blip compared to the 7-ish IP's which I am excited for!

As we all know, the event is going to revolve solely around the thing that you're not into...you just ignore all the other properties and whatnot which say otherwise!

The originals are going to be amazing houses I just know it. But yes, unfortunately we do need a zone like this. It’s just how the times have changed, and hopefully it’s good.

My wife says "there is an ass for every seat". Same idea. However, I didn't think HHN was directed at pre-teens... but ok.

Look, my 6 y.o. nephew plays, I know there are some kids playing. But in addition to the numbers Joe posted -- 80% of players in the demo HHN covets -- the game is rated the equivalent of PG-13, like Poltergeist, Ghostbusters, 5N@F, KKfOS, Cirque du Freak ...

Plus has there ever been a more Instagram-friendly idea?

I'm open to "out there" concepts for HHN (The Weeknd, WWE, etc.)... but can we please maybe do an East Coast version of Fan Fest at USF so HHN doesn't become the default place for things?

That's one of the big reasons it makes little sense to me.

Even if we're talking the rumored Fortnitemares variation (which fits a little better with HHN), Fortnitemares has become popular as a mishmash of licensed skins thrown in to a Halloween themed battle royale.

The logistics of clearing the IPs involved seems to be fairly staggering unless you want to end up with Fortnite: The Horrors of Blumhouse.

This is a strictly personal opinion and HHN doesn’t need to cater to me, but… that’s the least appealing IP lineup in the history of the event. I like ST and Klowns, but both have been done and the former is way past its sell by date. Ozzy is the most interesting property on that list.

That said…

I wasn’t wild about the IPs last year and the event was great. The originals and the streets are what matter, although I’m a bit worried about the streets - they were spectacular last year but if they’re all IP this year that would really dampen my enthusiasm.
