I'm not sure Universal's eager to revisit HHN 12.

If I'm not mistaken, that was the year that saw them with a crisis on their hands after Marvel went nuclear over what Universal did with their characters for HHN.

That’s old news and a non-factor. They literally went back to the well with Screamhouse/Caretaker numerous times AND included the Treaks and Foons for 30.

HHN 12 is absolutely fair game.

I do think these days they would have to run any Jurassic Park-branded haunt by Universal Pictures, which probably would not be game for something as "out there" as Evilution. But yeah, these are problems specific to certain IPs.

When I posted that JP picture, it was just the first thing that popped into my head when the word “helicopter” is associated with anything Universal. I definitely don’t expect a house based on the IP at any point, but I do think they are ready to do a house based on the original film. The time feels right in the event’s history for another dialed down “horror” IP. Although I do think they could make a very intense house on the original film if they chose to do so. The material is there.

Oh, yeah. Honestly, I think they should just do a straight up JP house.

Just wanna give my own two cents with one of the codenames- Helicopter, which is in F&F.

Black Phone 2 of course was a smash success critically and very much financially, and I feel pretty confident we'll see the Grabber again in some form, and maybe as a full house? The 2nd house lends itself much better to a house (and the first one already made for a great house!).

And what does this have to do with the codename, Helicopter? Well Finney, Hell is ice, and helicopters have blades, and so do ice skates.

I don't think it'll be next year, but I've long believed Jurassic Park is overdue for a second shot at HHN. Especially with houses like A Quiet Place and Chupacabra under A&D's belt, I think they could make something really cool and unique with a more traditional JP Dino house.

Okay, just a thought: back at 30, in the tribute store there was a carriage/wagon in the tribute store that had Shadybrook on it. At the end of the tribute store it’s implied whoever or whatever was in it escaped. And wagon is one of the code names for 35.

I do think JP could be a good fit for the F&F space if it happens. Those tight hallways resemble the Isla Nublar server rooms and service corridors where a lot of scary scenes take place, and you could do something really interesting with the outdoor interstitial portion if they're able to stage a big puppet out there somehow.

Obviously with an IP that big you could take a soundstage approach as well, but it would be a little weird to recreate the "When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth" atrium again in a soundstage when it's already been recreated next door.
