I don’t think Stephen king really cares anymore to be honest.

I think once you get to a certain age as you get older, you probably don’t care much anymore. He probably more open to it at this point

Finished welcome to derry, I just really hope that “It”, resident evil, and stranger things stay lol. If anybody hasn’t seen it yet, it’s really worth a watch. I enjoyed it more than 2017 and 2019s movies. Super good

Almost halfway through the series and it is great!

And for Stranger Yhungs, I think you mean Hellraiser. That, It, and RE are the initials that are “seriously” rumored so far. I don’t think Stranger Things has been put in that category as of now, unless I missed something.

I can't wait to have a repeat of 2023's speculation where Stranger Things suddenly pops up in the spec maps on a random day in March of 2026.

I really hope not, I Hope IT comes I’m tired of the 80s nostalgia. The season 4 house was alright but I think it’s time for something new. People said they Like IT better.

Funny you say that because It can also be categorized as '80s nostalgia'. Either way, I hope both properties are able to make it. I'd love to see Stranger Things get one final outing at the event and would also love to see It finally make it to the event!

Technically if they do Welcome to Derry it would be 60’s nostalgia. But I hear ya. I don’t think there’s been an IP house set in the 60’s as far as I know so that would be a first.

Thinking about it, it would be kinda reparative to have Stranger Things and It in the same year being that they’re both IPs that center around a group of kids in a past time period.

Stranger Things 5 is pretty likely to happen. The question is will it happen in 35 or 36?
It’s the last season so I’m sure GP wants to see it conclude at HHN as well.

Stranger Things is in a weird place because everyone I’m talking to has it on their list but no one I know can definitively say, “It’s coming,” like with the other rumored IPs.

I’m keeping it on my list (at the moment) mostly due to the lack of options—not so much because it’s “rumored.” No one will actually confirm that it IS rumored. It’s just… there?

It would be kind of surprising for them to have done a house for every season, and then not do one for the final season. Especially since the merch has been such a money maker. And I think it would have to be at 35. The season would have already been out for a year at that point. 36 seems too far away to realistically do it.

To make a counter argument to this, what if now a days King is more opposed to his IPs being at HHN vs at other haunt events? He used to be very against any of his IPs being at haunt event, but Universal ignored that in 2017 and went ahead with The Shining. When King heard he tried to stop it but it was too late. They found The Shining loophole. So what if that left a bad taste in King so he doesn’t want his IPs at HHN. And he let HMH do IT as they were at the time HHNs competition.

Thats my theory.

Exactly this, fully agreed. I personally am not excited about a ST5 house, though I wouldn't hate it if the other IPs and originals are good and ST5 eats the crowds...

Yeah, Stranger Things feels inevitable - and it makes the most sense for 2026. I mean, the season will be pushing a year old by the time the next event rolls around.

Pushing it off to 2027- nearly 2 full years after it's release, really doesn't make much sense.

If anyone on this thread hasn’t seen it yet you have until the end of the year or I’m taking your Horror fan card away.

It’s really good and can lead to so many more Stephen King universe opportunities.
