So sorry if this has been asked and answered, but I didn't see in Brian's article or otherwise - when will the hotel venues like Jake's American Bar at Royal Pacific or Thirsty Fish at Portofino have the full HHN overlays? I get in Wednesday night in advance of Premium Scream, and would love to visit those two in particular that evening if they're ready to go.

I can't speak for all of them - but I saw a post on FB yesterday from Orlando Informer of the Thirsty Fish overlay. So I'd guess it's already open!

I think they all are--I remember Royal Pacific is getting a "monster tiki bar." Hard Rock Hotel has decor up as well. I believe more details can be found on the main IU site.

I cannot believe this all starts this week! I can barely function at work today because we are flying down Wednesday in order to be ready for Premium Scream on Thursday. It's all I can think about!

I hope to see some of you who have messaged me privately. Thought some of you would get a kick out of the custom license plate I have on my car. (She's a "summer car" - a classic Camaro I named Ghost because she's the color of Halloween fog and/or the ghosts that exist in it. ) You're the only group I know who would "get it". :)plate.jpg

Is this the right thread for me to express my regret for not going this year?

yeah it is. Opening Night always feels pretty crazy but with the scream early its gotta be a whole other level. Trying to decide if its worth it to try to get there earlier than we normally do so we can catch some of that or if its gonna be a complete trainwreck until next week

Genuinely curious if and when the "super fans" who make up 99% of the opening weekend crowd burn out. Timing of the rain will probably be a factor, but how many of them are marathoning more than 12 hours in a theme park, a good chunk of it with a 100-degree feels like?

Looks like Brian posted the full HHN menu on IU.

We got a few specialty items in Springfield!

I’d imagine there will be a good drop in crowds around midnight, more noticeable than the past 2 years.

2-8 in this brutal weather is gonna burn out a lot of guests.

I’d imagine the ideal touring plan is to start off at 2 and then work your way until 8 for the 1st nightmare fuel show. Then leave to relax or enjoy a nice dinner during peak crowds. Return at midnight with another burst of energy.
