We’ve seen it in the forums this offseason. People convincing themselves what they want to happen will happen. They find “clues” to even more convince themselves something is happening or coming.

I think that plays a small role in some of the Fortnite pushback. There's the event Universal is actually planning, and then there's the version everyone has spent the last year planning in their own heads.

HHN is unique in that it's discussed 24/7/365, and then the speculation machine basically resets every 1st week of November. From Jan-April, everyone is crafting their own ideal lineup and trying to read tea leaves that aren't always there. By the time announcements start, people aren't just reacting to what's announced, they're comparing it to the event they imagined.

The shared IP houses have been teased on the official HHN socials with a date of the announcement, that hasn't been posted yet so it's most likely not Ozzy. It's either a Hollywood exclusive, or potentially Art the Clown in some fashion (Assuming he hasn't been dropped, of course.) since anything related to a scare zone has not been teased beforehand on the official socials.

Over in Hollywood, Art has been rumored to be in their Terror Tram. And in one way, that might be a possible factor why the announcement for Orlando's Clown zone has been so weird, if Art the Clown is involved as rumored, I can see them having to line up the announcements of Orlando's Clown zone and Hollywood's Terror Tram to get two birds one stone with that IP revealed.

Well actually they didn’t do that tease for the date of announcement for Stranger Things! Sinners, Hellraiser, and Evil Dead had that, but Stranger Things was dropped without any tease. ‍

Even though I’m sad he isn’t happening this year . He’ll likely return in 2031 which is 40.

Pumpkin Lord is my favorite icon, but he needs a lore build which hopefully will happen.

But regardless I’m excited for the event still! Still more to look forward too!

They’re just focusing on Jack and Oddfellow this year.

But I will be supporting Pumpkin Lord by wearing the shirt.

But that doesn’t mean his presence can’t be felt at the event he is Halloween!

I’ve never been the type of person to enjoy anyone else’s misfortune… that being said, I’m really enjoying watching people squirm over the fact that the literal smallest scare zone in the park is an IP they don’t like lol. Like, it doesn’t even take up a large or medium sized zone, much less a house. I’m excited for it regardless but even if it wasn’t, who cares? There’s IPs there every single year I couldn’t care anything about, doesn’t mean they don’t belong there or that it can’t be done well regardless.

There’s only one IP I can think of that I would maybe not have any interest in “trying” as a house or zone, it would still probably do it anyway just to try it, if it ever came. But otherwise, why not just give things a fair shot ya know?

Ironically Fortnite just added scantily clad characters in a reversal of a long standing policy against them. They're debating on the InsideFortnite forums whether or not adding HHN to the game will make it too much for children

As one of the adults who plays Fortnite, I'm excited lol I think this is a creative challenge for the team at HHN and I'm super curious to see how they tackle it! I also really do hope for a Fortnite food booth lmao I buy those blinky coasters you stick to the bottom of cups in place of the blinky cups and you better believe I'd love to walk around with a blinky chug jug

Crazy to see how whiny the attention seekers are this year. I swear they get louder every year. Nearly every year, there are IPs at the event I don't like. I don't like Hellraiser or Ozzy but you better believe I'm going through the houses with an open mind because I KNOW they can (and likely will) surprise me. Heck, I originally thought the WWE announcement was lame last year and I don't like WWE whatsoever (but I did my homework and watched a documentary about the Wyatt Sicks and understood the decision more before the event at least) and that was an incredible house and tied for my favorite last year.

Plus, I don't understand why people can't get a little excited for other people sometimes. I get we all want our favorite properties at the event, but I don't like Ozzy and I'll be thrilled for hunnylvr when that gets announced. I don't like Killer Klowns but I was so excited to hop online and see pixarfan's reaction. Some people out there (yes, adults too) are hella excited for Fortnitemares and it's entitled AF to whine like the whole event is ruined (because yes, that's the tone some of these needy posts are taking lol)

I bought my 3 x single nights and 3 x express passes for me and my partner a couple of weeks back just because of all the uncertainty.

I phoned Universal and got my singles changed to ROF, and despite not expecting it, they've refunded me the difference back too - roughly $110. Can't complain at the service.
