I get what you're saying, but you don't need express for anything there other than houses

Which is easily doable with express access opening up after 10pm when the lines are usually shorter, plus you have access to the event from opening (6:30pm) in which you have time to

1. Explore the scarezones
2. Grab food
3. Line up to a couple of houses in the standby line (the smart ones would queue up to the originals since those tend to have the shortest standbye times compared to the IP's).

Yeah - if you're going for enough nights, the multi night ticket will usually end up being the better deal.

We typically don't visit more than once a year, but we're UOAPs because it's just cheaper to do it that way.

If you're doing more than 3 or 4 nights of HHN, the FFP + express will always save you money lol (I paid $640 for literally 2 nights with Express)

Yeah the notion that out of towners *only* buy Length-of-stay or single day tickets and that APs are *only* purchased by locals needs to end, whether here or in the decision making halls of Universal…

This assumes an awful lot for many different types of groups who buy passes with Express. Not everyone wants to stay until close, so stating that an express option should only trigger after 10pm is quite presumptuous.

The key is truly money here. If there are complaints from locals that express slows everything down (allegedly), then Uni needs drive up the price again and weed out more people, selling to those who truly believe paying the higher cost aligns with their plans and who are willing to pay. As I've said previously, our group attends a total of 8 nights over the two+ months the event is running. We travel for this - so already spending huge dollars (especially this year with the exorbitant airfare costs due to the fuel issue). The two days per trip we attend HHN, we aren't willing to stand in lines for 1 to 2 hours. It would make for a miserable time for all of us because it's just hell on the body to stand. I can walk for miles and miles, but the standing and standing is just killer. So, I'll pay through the nose for whatever it costs to get that Express to attend whatever time and for however long I choose.

If I'm willing to pay such a premium for that pass with Express, then it should also include access for the full normal hours of the event night. Frankly, it's not my concern how everyone else chooses to experience this event. The options should remain out there until they come up with an alternate idea to address this issue regarding those who do not live in Florida. I agree with previous comments that providing a pass with Express for a set number of dates would be just fine. Set it up so people can choose multiple nights with specific dates and ONLY those dates - cap it at 15 nights or something. It shouldn't be that hard.

You want me to go to go to the parks during the day, do Stay and Scream, maybe do a couple houses at 5:30-6pm, and then just hang out for FIVE+ HOURS until my express works? Just loitering and clogging the streets? Maybe say, what the hell, and do Nightmare Fuel 3 or 4 times making those lines impossible for the non-express people since I have nothing better to do. I'm paying $500 extra to not have to wait in house lines.

This doesn't make sense on any level. Maybe for locals, but as someone who flies in from out of state for one week, this would be the end of me spending a single cent on Universal in the future.

I suspect this is a feature in UOR's mind, not a bug. Keep the hard-core fans from jamming up the Scream Early lines by dangling the carrot of Express after 11. After opening night, a number of the die-hards will just switch to late-night visits rather than rope-dropping then staying 12 hours, keeping Scream Early reasonable. And that leaves Express during the first 5+ hours exclusive to single-night guests, ideally giving them shorter Express lines to see everything before 11.

While I see the internal corporate logic, I also agree this is directed squarely at locals. The out-of-town multi-night guest (like you, unfortunately) kind of gets screwed. If you only use your pass for, say, 4 nights, that's 24 hours of Express access lost during your trip.

Since earlier this week it was assumed to drop Im sure everyone is blowing it up. I had a tab open since 10am and nothing so the guesses from yesterday saying Nightmare Fuel stole Burn and FFP’s thunder seem true

Then the 1/2 off express after 10pm for single night express by extension is a bad idea too? Trying to see the train of thought here.

I have no problem with that. That's like a "trial". When you're at the park, having paid for the regular ticket and getting what you were promised, you have the option to get a "taste" of the highlife and see what the express thing is all about. That's great.

Buying express tickets to an event in JULY, and being told while the $200 ticket get it's full value starting at 6pm, your additional $500 doesn't mean !@#$ until 11pm. That's insane.

That's like buying tickets for a 3 day music festival and if you upgrade to the VIP ticket, you only get to go the last day of the event, you don't get to go to the first 2. Actually, scratch that, the headliners play the last night. It would be like paying the full price for the festival, plus the VIP surcharge, and being told you can only go the first night (since the 11pm-2am time at Universal is the least desirable time based on the lines).

Do they announce stuff on Fridays, not counting Originals week or any other week long reveal?

Nope. Nothing was stolen if it was never going to happen and people thought wrong.

Last year Jason Universe was announced on Friday the 13th...

And take a look at HHN 32's Friday dump on July 28...

My wild guess is that if ticket sales are not as strong as anticipated, Universal (if they haven't made up their minds yet) will introduce multi-night tickets with limited express add-ons to stimulate locals to flock to the event. And if the out-of-town/international guests manage to snag one of those tickets, it'll help with the costs of attending this year.

I think they should Not sell a limited amount, just keep the same price, but put a cap on visits with express at ~50% +/-??% of the tickets visit capacity.

My guess is what Universal did for HHN 33 and 34 will be indicative of HHN 35 multi-night tickets. Time will tell which direction they'll take.

I think they should raise the price 50%. The break even point is 3-4 events, should be more. $1799

If HHN attendance is down, it’s almost certainly primarily due to external economic and social factors.

Speaking personally, however, this is the least appealing lineup (even originals, for which I am usually very excited) I can remember. The factors beyond Unis control would make it tougher for me to attend this year and the lineup is making it hard to convince myself to go to the effort.

That’s just me.
